Sony “Sirius” to Debut Officially as the Xperia Z2 at MWC

It will feature the quad-core Snapdragon 800, a 5.2 inch 2,560×1,440 pixel (Quad HD, QHD, or 2k) display, 3GB of RAM, a 20.7MP camera, and a 3,700mAh battery. It will come with the water and dust protection expected with Sony hardware and it will have KitKat on board. It will also have the Mobile Bravia Engine 3 with improved X-Reality. The rumor about it coming to Verizon, has yet to be confirmed. We’re a little over a month away from Mobile World Congress, and it’s safe to say we’ll know more then.

Got damn @ those specs!

On another note, I have a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera and it looks like cell phones are starting to cannibalize that market as well. i'm wondering if I should sell it while I still can. :patrice:

LG G2 checking in
rooted
TWRP 2.6.3.3 (this is such piff, the last time I modded a phone, touchscreen recovery was just a dream) :wow:
Cyanogenmod 10.2 stable (i heard the ONLY weak point of the phone was the was ass interface)
Lurkin for that 11 stable, the last nightly I tried doesn't mount mass storage, just charge only

coming from a razr maxx, I'm happy; I don't notice any drop off in battery life

I do hate the interface but I've never rooted before... Is it worth it? Seems like you lose out on some functionality too (double tap to screen off, some camera issues, etc)

oh, it's worth it....even without a custom ROM, about half of the cool apps in the market only work when you gawd mode.
Because this is my work phone, i can't afford the fukkery, so I did my research before i started.
I'll tell you how i got back all the little things that the OG version\hardware came with:

in cyanogenmod 10.2, tap on works by default, but not tap off- I stole tasker, created a task to system lock, and then in Nova Launcher, I linked the double tap gesture to launch that tasker task.
I use the Focal camera app, which was built by a former CM associate, and was pegged to be the native camera app for all CM roms.
The guy had some dispute about creative powers, and branched off, but it's available in the play store, for everyone, for free. I haven't had any issues with it.
The QuickRemote is obviously not installed after Cm, so - on xda-developers, I found a flashable .zip (a little package that your recovery can install) that rebuilds\installs it. it works great

Also, just to put the candy on it: install GMD auto hide soft keys; i'm one of those people that has to have all screen, and it really gives you all screen, until you need the keys
