I hope you understand that you do NOT need to root to get iOS emoji. You can get them in the major messaging apps (GOSMS, handcent, etc).

If you really want to root, just google it. Cuz if you can't figure out how to root that way, you probably shouldn't root. Rooting is the EASY part. It's the keeping up with updates and shyt that's cumbersome, so you best make sure you're really about that developer life before you do it.
yea I have go SMS now...the messaging part isn't the issue...its when I'm on Facebook and instagram and I use the emoji...its only shown in black and white where as tho in on ios its shown in full color on Facebook and instagram

The problem is seeing them natively throughout the OS. What you described only covers messaging. What I described covers the entire OS...

Read up on rooting first cause what my breh above said is very true. If you aren't about that dev life, you don't need to root...

If you choose to do so, go over to XDA and search for your phone and there will be guides and stuff that will get you all set.

Forgot that you need 4.4 KitKat to do the emoji thing too. I have a Nexus 5 so it was never an issue for me...

Wait...u had a iphone breh? Why?

To be honest I almost got a iphone5s and switch back to ATT solely because of the fact that my jobs network only supports iphone devices...im at work using my cellphone data because I can't use WiFi all this time thinking my job title wasnt allowed to be on WiFi.....it was all because I was on android :snoop:. Tmobile data is great everywhere for me EXCEPT inside my workplace. I can't stream anything and have to download my podcasts at home.before I leave for work. I can do light browsing but its slow....streaming music or video is impossible at work.

Also I'm extremely jealous of the iphones camera app. After all these years being so concerned about widgets and customizations...I'm starting to not care so much about a lot of that stuff and find myself only really using basic apps and the camera. My home screen is basic..just a few folders :manny:. also I've ran into a couple situations where there was a certain app that works on iPhone and doesn't work well on android...couple apps I want that aren't available at all on android...which rarely happens.

Still though...iphone screens need a update...I'd actually be fine with a 4.3 inch sharp screen but the narrowness of iphone screens still rub me the wrong way. Also that iphone battery life seems .

What android phone you plan to get? When are we getting a camera app that rivals iphones?

I'm still on my nexus 4 and love it besides the reasons I've stated already...my next phone purchase will be hard...I'm hoping the new gs5 is high quality...if not...if that next iPhone has a 4.5-4.7 screen I might consider iphone again :ohhh:

Decisions :to:
Shouldn't be a hard decision. Just stick with a high quality android phone. The iPhone sucks all around and a camera app shouldn't make that much of a difference.

Phone I'm planning to grab? Probably the HTC Won or the Nexus 5.

what texting app is that?

Verizon Messages (only available for Verizon customers, obviously)

I use it just cuz it's the most reliable in sending group messages/MMS...other than that and the fact that it automatically creates different color bubbles for each participant in a group message, it's an unspectacular app for me.

It also is supposed to let you access messages on a tablet and computer, but I don't use that function so I don't know how well that works

Edit: and another cool thing it does is if you send or receive a link it'll put a preview in the conversation, be it a web page or YouTube video or whatever
