Having had this LG G2 for a week or so now,

LG G2 > Nexus 5

overall

Rooted my phone the first day and threw KitKat on it :win:

I was planning to do this but you lose so many features the phone offers with a custom rom so I haven't done it yet. I'm hoping when the official KitKat update comes someone is able to incorporate everything the hardware can do.

I picked up an LG G2 today and overall I agree there is a lot going on, its feature packed. The LG stock messaging app is crap, the camera app is dope. I actually like the buttons on the back they feel more natural right there for me.

There are a few features like the Q-Slide, the gestures, the home button customization (I love having a button to bring down the notifications panel), and Knock On (I LOVE this feature). Also the One handed operation setting is dope too, haven't seen that before. All in all I still hate the LG skin so I'll be rooting and flashing CM, but I'm hoping they kept those features I like about the stock.

I switched to att and got the g2 as well this week. What is q-slide and knock on?

"Knock" or tap on the screen twice to turn the screen on, do the same on the status bar to turn the screen off.

Q-Slide: in the pull down you'll see a row or app under q-slide, when you click on those it brings up the app in a window on the screen where you can move it around, change the size, and transparency of the app so you can multi task and see under that app.

Galaxy S5 offers 10.7 GB of usable storage space on 16GB model

The Galaxy S4 was given a lot of flak for using up a lot of the total internal storage for system files, leaving only around 9GB for user data on the 16GB variant. The folks over at Android Central then revealed that available storage space was even lower on the Galaxy S5, indicating that the company has failed to trim down the bloat of its software. However, that’s not the case, asTelekome-presse found out: the Galaxy S5 on display at MWC was simply using up an extra 2.33GB for the demo content related to Samsung’s Unpacked event, demo content that will not be present in the retail version of the device.
