such a garbage camera for videos. If HTC would quit cheaping out on the camera they could maybe dominate the phone market.

looks really bad here

HTC is the poor mans galaxy.[DOUBLEPOST=1397334183][/DOUBLEPOST]This galaxy feel like i deleted every wack resource hogging app off my phone. The speed, the efficiency.

Durable water proof plastic
you can buy an HTC One and root it then flash a custom rom without tripping bullshyt software that monitors what you do and voids your manufacture's warranty. can't do that with an S5.

Sony Xperia Z2 crowned new king of mobile photography
The smartphone has beaten out the Nokia 808 Pureview to take the lead in overall picture quality.

The Sony Xperia Z2 has supplanted Nokia's 808 Pureview as the best smartphone for mobile photographers, according to an organization that analyzes camera quality.

Sony's latest flagship handset scored a 79 out of a possible 100 on the DxOMark Mobile scale, beating out Nokia's 808, which landed a score of 77 out of 100, the camera testers announced Monday. Sony's handset, which comes with a 20.7-megapixel camera and the ability to record in 4K video, earned high marks for its "impressive" photo-snapping outdoors and fast autofocus.

Sony announced the Xperia Z2 at Mobile World Congress in February. Sony has designed the device to be its competitor with Apple's iPhone 5S, the HTC One M8, and Samsung's Galaxy S5. The Android-based smartphone comes with a quad-core 2.3-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5.2-inch HD display, and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. Consumers can choose from a black, white, or purple version.

DxO Labs, creators of the DxO Mark camera-quality scale, has become an important resource for hobbyists and professionals seeking the best picture quality in a new device. The company focuses entirely on image quality, evaluating everything from lenses and focal length to aperture and exposure time across both mobile devices and digital cameras.

According to DxO, the iPhone 5S is the third-best smartphone for picture-taking, earning a score of 76 to tie the Xperia Z2's predecessor, the Xperia Z1. Apple's old iPhone 4 scored a 50 out of 100 in the testing, leaving it at the bottom of the pack.

CNET contacted Sony for comment on the ratings. We will update this story when we have more information.

Sony shares are up 11 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $18.94 on Tuesday.

Roms have no value to me. What the phone does out the box is enough. That m8 just isnt superior to this s nikka. THE S!

Does a plastic casing take away from the performance of an electronic product?:patrice:
in terms of specs they run the same processor. have the same memory. the One has a better speaker setup. a better front camera. better Android overlay (Sense vs Touchwiz) better build quality. pretty much the only thing the One is inferior on is the rear camera but if you're serious about taking pictures you probably have at least a point and shoot with an optical zoom on it. the One's camera gets by for taking pics to post online. when you have two phones this close it's the minor things that make all the difference.

you must be a pretty casual user to say that.

Hell

Ain't buying no android phone with a non-removable battery, if it's sealed and I can't take it to apple:camby:

With that said Sense>touchwiz:jawalrus:

But HTC with that long ass Note 3 phone with a smaller screen:mjlol:

And that weak ass camera, if you ain't doing online dating and taking selfies:mjlol:

I don't really care for samsung to be honest, touchwiz lags over time and it's too intrusive but compared to htc:shaq::wow:

HTC was OG with the OG evo on Sprint, I use to come through with the OG evo with no case, pulled it out like a boss calling the old lady:blessed:nikkas was like:comeon::comeon::comeon:

But since that 3d:stopitslime:

The one m7 was probably the best looking phone I've seen in my life, especially the all back:blessed:but no removable battery, 2300mah at that, no quick charge (disabled by htc) and it took over 2.5 hours to charge:russ:

Compared to my s4 that takes 90 tops with the 2.0amp charger:lolbron:

I like HTC but they keep on messing up:ehh:

I'm big on this phone stuff, I listen to all the podcast at work but it's really the same shiat every year. Samsung/htc and moto and lg:wow: and apple comes through and crushes nikkas hearts in Sept:yeshrug:with a small ass phone, basic software and mad security:lolbron: while android is spamming my arse to download clean master:wow: (You have 3 viruses, click here to remove)

Need a bigger iphone with a removable sd card and lose the itunes crap:upsetfavre:

And I'm good:shaq:

It's a cell phone. nobody is doing any serious photography with a cell phone camera.

you're never gonna get an SD card on an iPhone. Apple makes too much money raping people on 64GB phones that cost hundreds of dollars more than the 16GB version. meanwhile you can cop an Android with 32GBs on internal storage and get a 128 GB Micro SD card cheaper than a 64GB Phone.
that 128 card only cost $120 and the phones are like $199 so that's still under the $400 a 64GB iPhone cost for 160GBs of storage.
