got the g3 last week.. liking it so far.

first impressions..

the phone feels good but cheap. the shape and design of it is very nice. it fits very nice in my hand and i don't find it too hard to use with one hand. unfortunately, it's still plastic so it feels cheap. i had to put a case on it.

the screen is nice. is it overkill? maybe. but there's nothing bad about it. the phone does get warm.. but i've never had the overheating problem that some people have had. but i don't play graphic intensive games on my phone either. it handles youtube/netflix/etc perfectly fine and i've never had the screen dim itself because of overheating. it's a big, nice screen fit into a small-ish form factor. that's really the biggest benefit over the qhd to me.

battery life is great.. especially standby time. the standby battery time is so ridiculous that i have my doubts it's completely legit. but the battery lasts me through the day no problems. the screen obviously eats up most of the battery but it's not to the point where i find it detrimental to the experience at all.

i like it :yeshrug:

Anyone got a Oneplus One invite (64gb) they can hook me up with? I've been rockin a cracked screen on my S4 for weeks now, figuring I'd just cop the OPO and sell the S4, but invites are impossible to come by and so I'm out here with this struggle screen, afraid to pull it out my pocket in public for fear of being judged and shyt :sadbron:

I'll be 100 with brehs...It really isn't much of a difference between phones now a days the companies market a bunch of functionality that you aren't going to use and specs that don't actually matter...my HTC M8 isn't that much different from a GS5 or a Note or a sony, Nokia,or iPhone etc...

It's just a matter of preference at this point...Are they going to release anything game changing anytime soon because as of now it seems like everyone has taken the Apple line of improvement a little at a time...

Or am I just pouring jelly on myself and using shyt wrong?

continuity was a huge improvement that was just announced at apple's and google's conference...companies are making their devices sync together now so taking into account the ecosystem and software update support you'll be getting is very important.

i think apple will benefit from this more than any other company since they're really good at pushing out software updates and their hardware is ahead of the rest. plus the iphone has the second best camera right now.
