I'm legit worried about Apple and their lack of innovation post-Jobs.
Previously, there was a nice symbiotic relationship/competition between Apple & Google in the hardware department. Like it or not, Apple was great at innovating and highlighting a new piece of tech, while Google was great at iterating and taking that tech and improving it at a rapid pace. Between the two of them, they pushed the tech in modern phones (processors, cameras, etc.) to the point we've reached diminishing returns and everything is basically the same.
E.g.
First iPhone shifted the phone landscape, then Android caught up and surpassed them after a couple of generations
First iPad created the tablet market, then Android caught lightning with the Nexus7 and shifted the form factor down
Now the AppleWatch. Arguably, Android beat them to market, they're basically already on par functionality wise, and Android beat them to the more aesthetic form factor (round watches).
Today's Apple basically just announced iPhones that have been available on Android for awhile and pre-announced an AppleWatch that doesn't have a killer design nor a killer feature (a unique use case, outstanding battery life, etc.)
I'm actually kinda worried we're gonna get stagnant in an "iteration" era and not an "innovation" era until the next Jobs comes through.
