no more excuses from these android devs about why they cant make apps to fit different screen size and no tablet optimized apps

+Android Developers! If you want to test your UI in pretty much all environments, a Nexus 10 is all you need.

There are two really useful commands you should know: "adb shell am display-size" and "adb shell am display-density".

These two commands will tell an attached device to emulate a display resolution or density other than the native display properties of the device. You can tell either property to reset by telling it "reset" as the resolution or density argument.

What this means is that with one high resolution, high density device like the Nexus 10, you can simulate the environment of just about any other Android device you'll care about for basic UI testing. The resource system will give you the appropriate resources for the adjusted Configuration and you can check each different device class you want to support in minutes.

These devs need to start making apps work in landscape orientation.

Most of the time, I hold my tablet horizontally, but the remote apps that I have for it (Roku, my Viera app) don't rotate accordingly. It's annoying, and you can tell these apps were made for phones. :smh:

Question my android fam. So I'm about to buy an upgrade next month for my Verizon account. Are my only sufficient options right now the Note 2 and the Galaxy S3?

The appeal is that the OS is whatever your heart desires. :jawalrus:

Would you rather be confined to rows of icons? :heh:

Would I need to root my phone in order to do that?
