just copped a white Galaxy Note 2. I feel kind of like a homo with an android phone but work obligations have forced my hand. What are some good apps for android phones i need to look into. Haven't rocked an Android phone in like 2 years

if I get a AT&T branded Note II, is there any way for me to use it with one of the prepaid carriers and still get LTE, or would I be limited to 3G/HSPA 21?

Google Now widget revealed in official Nexus support documentation | The Verge

google_now_widget.png

Google showed off Android's Google Now system in a commercial last night, and the company may have another related surprise in store: a Google Now widget. As spotted by Android Central, several of Google's official support pages now feature an image and description of a widget that "displays a summary of your current Google Now cards, either on a Home screen or on the lock screen." The example features a clean minimalist look, and according to the support page touching the widget brings up the related card in Google Now.

The reference is made in the support pages for the Nexus 4 and 10, as well as the Galaxy Nexus — but not on the pages for the Nexus 7. While it's not clear just when the addition was made, cached versions of the pages reveal that the widget reference was missing as recently as February 2nd. Whether the widget is part of a forthcoming Android update, an a la carte option, or is a concept that was scrapped altogether still remains to be seen.

Breaking: Android 4.2.2 Update Rolling Out To GSM Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, Nexus 10

Posted by Liam Spradlin in Android OS, Jelly Bean 4.2, News, Rumors
Nexus owners may have a reason to stay up tonight, as a couple of Reddit users report that Android 4.2.2 has begun rolling out to the GSM Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7.
There's not much word regarding what the update includes just yet, but readers may remember that Google promised a Bluetooth A2DP audio streaming fix in the "next release" of 4.2 after 4.2.1.
