Jelly Bean has been released just not officially in the states. I could flash that right now actually and apply the AT&T APN settings.

The conversion gives me LTE, SD support, and access to the same roms as you guys so I don't see a loss there.

I wasnt even trying to diss its just mind blowing that people would choose the optimus g over the nexus 4. The sd card argument is blah to me. LTE can be restored by flashing the old radio. So you bought the optimus g to flash roms in order to get the latest updates lol. go read what CM said about 4.2.2 it will take a while because it was a big update on the back end. google changed a lot of stuff in 4.2.2.

This update is deceptively large in the change department, but still manageable. We are working on the same principle as with the update from 4.1 to 4.2, and are working in 'mr1.1-staging' in our github.

There are quite a few conflicts, which are to be expected as we are more than just a bare AOSP OS, but these will have to be sorted before we start issuing releases based on the 4.2.2 code base.

Key items:

# Lots of translation conflicts.
# There don't appear to be new device repos nor any communication on the usual mailing lists regarding this. Even updated kernel source appears to be missing.
# Some major changes to hardware/qcom/display, which will affect most devices using that. Degree of the impact varies, but this seems to revolve around the new 4-layer composition.

Please don't bug your various maintainers asking 'when?'. These things take time to do properly and rarely apply cleanly. Good work takes effort, and effort takes time.

no diss taken, but different strokes for different folks. OG/Contract works for me.

In the end I'm still eating on one of the most powerful devices Android has to offer and the options I have with the OG will continue to let me eat. :

people want to hate on samsung but all of samsung devices are off ICS. GS2 jelly bean is rolling out in Canada right now. HTC, Sony & LG are the worse at device support. Matter Fact only samsung and google gives a damn about updates

My first LG device, but it looks like they are changing their ways. The Korean update dropped and is being used to feed us. Its up to the carriers I think now. All new models recently announced are dropping with Jelly Bean as well.

optimus G is a good phone and fast as hell. Lg have my fav android skin. LG need to get their updates sorted out and they will be playing hard ball...they have to match samsung device support. the note 1 is getting all the note 2 features..now thats support

Eh my s3 gets quick updates too. Plus better battery life. Plus 90 + gigs of memory.
