I usually have it turned off unless I need multifunction in a certain app

I just flashed back to it because they fixed the 4.3 freezes but I think the rasbean jelly rom seemed much more stable for me (no random reboots), although I havent had one yet on the newest version of PA....yet. I like the extra features but I like the phone acting like a stock phone in the sense of reliability. I know there is a mix of both in certain roms.

I was rolling like that for a bit but now I want all the bells and whistles. Waiting on Carbon 4.3 to be a little more stable before I flash. Their 4.2.2 roms were damn near flawless. All those features + the speed

I may try that out, the pics of it looked delicious. I just hated my phone rebooting during phone convos and waking up the screen at the wrong time with PA. Ive only tried 2 roms since owning the nexus and I dont care about halo that much to need to have the updated features 1st. Right now the newest PA has been stable(no random reboots daily so far) but Ill let you know if that changes

Word. Keep your eye on Carbon.. had none of the stablilty issues that you cited in spite of all their features. I would have been tight if my phone was randomly rebooting and shyt. That would be my G2X days all over again

I second this. I've been running the latest PA rom and while I haven't had the random reboots during phone calls, I did get random re-boots while using apps like Sanpchat. I'm going to try the latest Carbon release until the 4.3 roms are stable enough. PA 4.3 was nice but way too flawed for daily use.

shyt I dunno try flashing Franco's Kernel that's what I'm using. Make sure you flash the correct version (JWR66V) and go to the play store and download the Franco App. I recommended the paid version it has more features.

It's cool I just flashed the last Carbon 4.2.2 release and things are smooth so far

I'm not having any of these reboots you guys are talking about on PA. Are you using the stock Kernel or an custom Kernel?

stock kernel and every other kernel, especially with franco.

I had 2 reboots today on 4.3 after reporting all was ok with the stock kernel supplied. I cant flash another due to screen tearing reports on PA with the camera and its stated not to until stabilized.

I have the paid updater also, trickster mod, faux control....etc

Ive tried JSS JWR

Im aware JWR is what youd need to flash at the moment for PA. Once Carlo is back off hiatus Ill reload that rom or try some others I have here like PSX or Stockified


Once these roms get rid of the locks and freezes like PA all will be better. Nothing like typing and having the keyboard lock up, especially during voice typing.

Thats a good price. I paid the same for mine (16gig), you might even find it cheaper on C-list. Itll hold you down for a min with updates unless you want to hunt for deals on other phones on craigslist and flash roms to stay up to date.

Can't comment on the data speeds yet as I am using a t-mobile sim at the moment and limited to 2G because the phone isn't 1700/2100 (t-mobile's 3g/4g frequencies)

I wanted to cop the Blue Life One, but i'm not switching to att just to get the fast data.

Ok I'm using PA's latest JWR rom (081713) and Franco's Kernel build 176. I had the same freeze issues with PA's earlier JS rom and franco's kernel which now are non-existence.
