Can a breh get an opinion on the s5 vs S6? Also, is the s5 gunna be discounted when the s6 drops? iOS user switching over
What took you so long :rudy:

I haven't had a Samsung since the Galaxy 2 but why wouldn't you cop the latest generation available?

Unless you're paying the full no-contract price I don't see the point of buying the s5

I'm in a similar spot. Had this Note 2 since 2012 and ready to upgrade, I hate it. Hated the bytch since I got it, too big, the whites are yellow like MJ cheese eyes, and its got screen burn in. The top bar of the Youtube app and logo is permanently burned in, you see it browsing the internet.

Idk how you feel about Samsung but the S6/Edge is phone of 2015, not up for a debate imo and I dont even need to see what Moto & LG put out. If I wasn't thinking about going to iOS, I'd have a pre order for a 64gb green Edge. It's looking like the only one with negative stuff are those pissed about the sd card and swappable batteries and there's getting to be fewer of those around.

But If you just wanted a HTC, pick up an M8. HTC's putting all the extra features from the M9 on M8 anyway so you wouldn't miss out. And if youre buying a M8 I'd probably do it soon since HTC's pulling last year's model off shelves and putting a modified version of the M7's chip in it and charging the same price for it.

What would you do if you were in my position?

Already have an M8 that I got last year, so that should hold me down for a couple more months (HTC dropped the ball so far but it's still early in the year :francis:).

Going to switch my second line (Note 2) to the S6 Edge when it drops although I wanted to keep the second phone as a phablet.

What's everyone's opinions on the Note Edge?

Metro uses TMobile frequency waves so you're good

I looked the phone up and it's missing each a 3G & 4G band for the network,

in other words reception would probably be spotty depending on where you live.
I just went to an at&t store (was nearest to my job) and they said the phone should work fine as long as it's unlocked because it's a quad band phone. But then they said it will only get 4g but not 4g lte signal. Does this sound about right?

You seemed like you liked HTC before, might as well wait until April 10 to see if HTC was telling the truth. That's the new date set for the M9, same date as the S6 launch

But for anyone looking at buying a new Android phone this year, the S6 is at the top of my recommendation list, I'd tell anybody to start with that. I don't feel like the others will be as complete.

Looks great, best cpu/gpu & flash storage combo and it's all Samsung parts nothing else other than the Note 5 would get, best screen, lighter touchwiz, and for the first time ever for a Android phone best camera. Beat the 6 & 6+. Can't see LG, Sony, or anybody else checking all the boxes like that since they either can't or haven't ever done it before.

What's everyone's opinions on the Note Edge?

Awkward looking with one edge, side notification is kinda cool

Would pick the regular over it if you went that route though, better battery and cheaper

N6 is a two handed device at all times it's pretty much a tablet, way out of the phone/phablet category

N6 probably has better camera too. Idk, I'd pick the M8 but only because I don't like phablets. N6 in N5's footprint is easy money on the N6.

But at least you wouldn't have to worry about something like this happening to the N6

Band 12 must be LTE for your area, that's the only band the phone doesn't support for AT&T

yeah that looks about right

Thanks for your opinion. I had the Huawei Ascend Mate (6.1 inch screen) a year or so ago and I never really was bothered with the screen size.

I need to stop buying phones that have 5-5.3 inch screens. They aren't big enough for me :francis:
