So Nexus 6P knocked it out the park in some areas. - Build quality and software.
Passed in some areas - Screen quality, Camera and Battery life.

They've had build quality down for a while.
The battery life and camera are the wild cards. I read one review that said the camera was only marginally better than the N6 and not as detailed as current premium phones, then another review said it was spectacular (no "for a Nexus" qualifiers) and could stand toe to toe with the big boys.
I got a feeling they got it right this time, but these reviews are so damn inconsistent.

The reviews have been saying screen quality is good even on the lower brightness settings
Battery life is still the big question although with the way I use my phone I only expect a day out of it
