Android 4.2.1 Build Leaks for Sprint Galaxy Nexus, Flashable Through ODIN

4AG2El.jpg

The Galaxy Nexus for Sprint may have felt like an afterthought to many, but it seems that the Nexus device is finally getting the update love that it deserves. While this is far from being official from Sprint or Google, a build of Jelly Bean, Android 4.2.1 has been leaked over at SXTP Developers and can be flashed through ODIN right now.

Part of the beauty of having a Nexus is unlocking and flashing your own ROMs on top of it, but for those who are looking to keep things stock this is a good sign. No word on when anything will be coming down from Sprint themselves, but this build looks solid overall. Installation and download can be found at the source link below.

LG will introduce the Optimus G2 in the fall of 2013, according to the latest round of chatter. Reportedly, the flagship device will debut right around the time the current model hits the one-year mark.
Related stories

Previously rumored to arrive as early as last week's annual CES, the Optimus G2 is expected to feature a full 1080p HD display measuring no less than 5 inches. Seeing as how LG did not announce the new device in Las Vegas last week, the next logical venue would be Mobile World Congress scheduled for February.

Further muddying the waters, LG may also be planning a stopgap device for MWC, which reportedly might have a 5.5-inch HD display and quad-core processor. Presumably running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the so-called "GK" could be LG's attempt to beat Samsung to market with a big, bad, superphone. Various reports indicate Samsung is expected to introduce the next Galaxy S smartphone in April or May.

One possible reason LG is holding back the Optimus G successor is that it prefers to launch the handset with the latest version of Android. History tells us that Google will introduce the next iteration of its mobile platform in late May, with the the first batch of devices arriving in the fall. Should this be the case in 2013, LG's Optimus G2 may be among the first to hit stores with Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie, or whatever Google ends up calling it.

google drive is a Microsoft office replacement for me. I edit my docs files on the go with Google drive. Dropbox is better right now with a great UI. The sharing and exporting of files is easier with dropbox. I use both for different reasons
