lol at the end of the day I don't really care about that spec shyt...I just want my phone running smooth as shyt man....At the end of the day I might just get the note 3 and stick with that phone years to come...haven't bought a new phone for 2 and half years luckly verizon sent me free phones

doubt Verizon getting the n4

The motox runs smoother than a lot of the high specs phones.

To the people who are complaining about specs... When did Google ever come out and say this phone will be a flagship phone? I heard Google plenty of times say this phone is for the masses.

I can tell you first hand since I worked on the phone. The phone runs real smooth and runs better than the Nexus 4.

Blame the rumors and the media for hyping this phone as a flagship phone when Google never said it was never a flagship phone from the start. If you're trying to reach the masses like Google is doing then you need to release a midrange phone. Google is making a worldwide phone and not just a US phone. I even told the people in the coli that the specs would be similar to the Nexus 4.

People want the best camera, best processor, want over 2GB of ram, 64 gb, etc., but only want the phone to cost between $300-400. Nobody will be releasing specs like that for that price range because those type of specs would cost about $800 off contract.

I don't know why people keep talking about removable batteries and SD cards when Google wants to get away from that because a lot of things can happen to SD cards.

You're getting demonically testy over cell phone features. Yes, there is clearly more then meets the eye with these demonic devices. They've clearly captivated you and wirelessly installed demonic spirits into your mind. Wow, listen to yourself. Pull yourself together like the robot in Terminator 2.

Its so demonic, friend.

That's an oxymoron. Moto x is mid range phone. A midrange phone is for those that are on a budget. A high end phone is for to mass. And once again Motorola fail the deliver. No matter how smooth their new phone are running with dual core, it would had run 2x smoother with quad core.

No, it's not. Learn how the phone business works. The masses are everyday people who want a reliable phone and a phone that they can keep for about two years. The masses are not internet spec warriors who care about specs and use specs to justify a phone purchase.

When did you become an engineer? Oh really? Tell me why a dual core phone runs smoother than phones that have a quad core? It's not always about specs... you need to know how to engineer the software and optimize it for it's full potential.

Anyone can throw all the high end specs into a phone, but how many companies engineer it and optimize the software to it's full potential?

I don't even know why people are looking down on the Moto x when they really should be giving the phone props. The phone can do exactly what other companies say a phone with these specs can't do. What excuses are Samsung, Sony, and HTC going to come up when the Moto x comes out and it runs JB real smooth? If a midrange phone can do this then why can't they update their former flagship and 2nd tier phones to the latest software when their phones have better specs than the Moto x?

Pricing is key with this, if Motorola make this cheap then it'll be an instant hit, if it's gonna cost more than 300 then it's a failure.

Do you even have the Galaxy S4? Even before I rooted it, touchwiz ran smoothly 90% of the time (which then became 100% when I installed apps like nova launcher). Now I'm running Cyanogenmod 10.1 and this phone is litterally GOAT status. Only thing really holding it back is the shytty speaker it has but that's a small price to pay for the huge screen, insane speeds and good battery life.

I'll buy the Moto X if the price is right but to state that it's better than the flagship phones of this year is ridiculous. If I want a 100% smooth UI and specs similar to the Moto X I'll go back to iPhone. Apple offer me a greater customer service, a greater experience out the box and a cloud system that literally does everything for you. Heck I'd even pay that extra 150 premium if this phone is more than 300.

You're full of shyt. The highest selling phone is the Samsung Galaxy line up. not the consumer friendly cheap nexus 4. i dont care to understand specs but why not have great software and engineer that software and optimize it on a quad core?

This man speaks the truth. If I wanted a low spec device that ran smoothly I'd get myself an iOS device, not a phone made by fukking Motorola or LG. Besides the flagship phones of this year run perfectly.

did yall read what i posted above. Android 5.0 is optimized to run better on low spec devices therefore it will run smoothly on high end devices. Its all about OEM taking more time and picking the right hardware instead of the latest hardware.....its all about the perfect married

who is justifying anything??? The moto X is a flagship phone in the same vain as the iphone being a flagship with mid range specs. Dont the galaxy S4 have lag issue along with the xperia Z?? performance is still an issue with android devices
