You can go to Sprint and they'll give a 30 day grace period to try out the network. If you don't like it, you can return the phone and get your money back
First time I'm due for an upgrade and I'm not eager to just go out and buy a phone. Currently rocking the Note 2 and nothing out there makes me want to just go run out and purchase it. Guess I'll wait for the Note 4.

I'm leaning toward Note 3 because of screen size, slightly worse specs than S5 but I think I can live with it. M8... well I like my HTC One.

I tried to instally cyanogenmod , when it restarted it locks up and says "custom software found contact verizon"
After some research i found out that i was rooted but my bootloader was locked so i used this to unlock the bootloader

The speaker on the S5 sucks. I'd imagine it's the same on the Note.
nope , not the computer, not even the charger . Ended up getting a new one from the insurance company for $100

CyanogenMod 11 M8 is now available for download on selected devices. For the first time, the Sony Xperia Z2 (sirius), Xiaomi Mi2 (aries), Oppo Find 7a/s (find7) and OnePlus One (bacon) are graced by the popular third-party ROM.
One of the most major pieces of news regarding the update is that it’s based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. In addition to its enhancements to the core of the OS, it brings a ‘Heads Up’ notification mode (accessible through Settings > Notifications).
Here’s the full list of major features and enhancement that the CyanogenMod 11 M8 build brings.
