I think at least for cubans, they hate socialism so much that they naturally lean the other extreme - which is right wing. not sure about the mexicans tho

Cubans are just a special basket case.

I think for other groups tho the history of White racism and supremacy was way more prevalent than it seems. I think the Catholicism kinda made things more uniform and not as harsh looking as it was here where even Catholics were under pressure from Protestants. But even then, Latin America was never that much better than we are. So they coming here having already known at least some form or another of white elitism.

that's not the lesson - the dem party doesn't stand a chance without having a solid 65-70% of the latino vote. i know as black people we want to be dismissive of them, but dems aint winning shyt if they drop out the fold. people been saying it, but the dems need to figure this coalition shyt out otherwise the aryan brotherhood of the GOP is gonna wash them all while being a less popular ideology

You mean to tell me playing despacito on a cell phone won’t do the trick?:jbhmm: Cubans will always be a problem but they shouldn’t have gotten washed like that. They did nothing to counter the socialism label and the wild propaganda floating down there in Spanish media. Also I’m sure Kamala video she posted the other day didn’t help

Biden offered a path to citizenship for 12 million undocumented immigrants and promised a moratorium on deportations.

I really think Covid fukked Biden because he hasn't been on the ground like he would have been prior to this year.

No matter what happens I am not liking that it ended up being this close. When the votes are all counted I think Biden will look a lot stronger on the electoral map than I was thinking two hours ago when I was worried about Biden maybe winning but underneath 280 and there was even a possible scenario of a tie at 269-269.

But I do worry in the interim how the nation is going to handle this if Trump fans the flames of the election being stolen from him, etc. I didn't need a landslide Biden win to feel comfortable but I am not happy that it has been this close.

I'm not trying to rain on any positivity but I'll just say yet again that this race had no business being close
:hubie:
But I'm at least going to be able to sleep okay tonight
if biden loses PA and GA but otherwise wins out, that would mean that AZ victory was super clutch

we gotta put to rest "higher turnout favors dems"

shyt is a lie
You really think so?

I mean I feel like conservatives vote. No matter what. A lot of wealthier people too are conservatives and have an easier time voting. More people that are likely to vote Democrat have a harder time voting and/or getting their vote suppressed.

A LOT of people didn't vote today. I could obviously be wrong but my gut tells me a lot of the people that didn't participate today were not hardcore conservatives. They vote and they vote from when they are 18 until they go to the grave.

Young people don't vote nearly enough, and they're the ones more likely to be left (although there are definitely more young conservatives now than 10 years ago)
