Like I get why John yanked Yesavage, to get bullpen in the game some/not show NY too much of the Rook.

But Buck is right, those 7 runs yesterday gave them that confidence that they could tee off on the bullpen today.

I thought Max was injured, I didn't know John kept him off the playoff roster. Just realized. He coulda pitched tomorrow.

Barger makes that catch instead of making a bad defensive read/mistake and dropping the ball and it’s two out. Jays and Fluharty’s confidence doesn’t get rocked and Yanks have zero momentum.

Then who knows how the next batter goes. Fluharty was doing just fine and Jays get out of the inning and Judge starts the next inning with no one on base.

How many hits have the Blue Jays gotten since then? Only 1?

That drop and the next sequence took all the air out of the balloon offensively defensively and of course pitching and gave the Yanks all the momentum and confidence.


Let’s regroup and win tomorrow even though its gonna be a bullpen game. I hope this is just a bump on the road to the World Series and not the start of a historic collapse.

Schenider issues:

1) Pulling Bieber too Early in my opinion. Fluharty fine but sets everyone back.

2) After getting excited about the third inning and going up 6-1, when Yanks change out of Rodon, Schenider inexplicably takes IKF out so Barger can strike out on 5 pitches. (and strikeout and weakly ground out the rest of the game).

3)Barger then waves off the outfielder and drops a ball.

4) Schenider walks Judge 7 times this season but then doesn’t. Bargers issue now cost 3 runs and they lose by 3 runs.

The kiner-falefa error and Santander meh. This “defensive errors” Sportsbrt is harping on was all on Barger who didn’t need to be in the game at that point.

Now this same manager who blew the bullpen deployment against the Mariners and Twins in past playoff embarrassments , and made some unconfident decisions, has to make a bunch of decisions tomorrow or risk a game 5 coin flip.
