My timezone is 15 hours ahead of the US east coast.
So late night for me, around 11pm, would be 8am for you, assuming you're on the east coast.

I've got Tuesdays off and frequently speak to people in Japan so the time difference won't be an issue. Whatever works for you, works for me.

Got the W over @Monsanto in what was a great game, in terms of having fun and being engrossed in the action, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
But if there were any pros watching, they would probably have seen a game of terrible quality, full of mistakes by both players
For those who understand how the notation works, this is basically the replay of the game (I have no idea what this stuff means):
We played with a 1 hour time limit. Not that we pre-arranged it, it was just the setting the server defaulted to. I thought it was good because it gave us both plenty of time to think over our moves. Obviously we didn't need anywhere close to an hour, but it's nice to not be under any pressure at all time-wise. It would lead to better quality games in my opinion.

aye count me in brehs.Hey Y’all , this thread is a response to @Make it Make Sense ‘s thread 2wks ago. A bunch of Brehs got in there and wanted to set up an official tournament/online chess game meet up- thread. This is the spot.
Even though discord was suggested, just meeting on the Coli and @ing eachother seeemed easier than coordinating numerous discord accounts and the creation of new discord accounts for our-brehs. Organizing on theColi also allows new folks or those not familiar with the other thread to discover their own passion for Chess and uncover immediately practical life skills from the chess tactics or by freely talking with higher skilled, grey beard chessBrehs..
Plus we already on here regularly, so why not do it from a coliThread?
So….how do we know who is ready to play?Easy. Just answer yes in the poll above, and we can get a simple head count. Our medium for interaction will be Chess.com . For certain, we have 6 confirmed, and 5 maybe(s)….
