Got the W over @Monsanto in what was a great game, in terms of having fun and being engrossed in the action, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

But if there were any pros watching, they would probably have seen a game of terrible quality, full of mistakes by both players

We played with a 1 hour time limit. Not that we pre-arranged it, it was just the setting the server defaulted to. I thought it was good because it gave us both plenty of time to think over our moves. Obviously we didn't need anywhere close to an hour, but it's nice to not be under any pressure at all time-wise. It would lead to better quality games in my opinion.

• Future matchups will depend on the result of these four games so please stay posted. The first games for the rest will occur on the week of Nov8. This will effect @who_better_than_me , @Blackrogue , myself, and @buzzkill as a side effect of bracket design.

Yes. That is correct. And you will play winner of this matchup next week. Goal is to finish up the tournament by next week.


Might even do another one in January if folks are still interested. I know for sure we have a bigger pool with @Eruit-Roemello and @A.V. also interested. We might even have enough for a less funky, traditional, 16player bracket.

And finally, we have 2 brehs who can step in as alternates/subs in case of player-scheduling-conflict or forfeiture of matches. Shout out to both @Javed and @Eruit-Roemello .

For pickup games, feel free to set it as along as is comfortable for both parties. It can be done manually through the app side bar .This thread can also be used to set those up. A few brehs have already taken the initiative to do that on page 1+2 of this thread.


However; with the tournament, 10min was a compromise both for time's sake(folks got kids, wives, jobs, etc)and for experience sake. I stress experience because We got a bunch of experienced players that prefer bullet rounds of 1 or 3min. It would be difficult to convince them to play you for 20min(40total) or 30min(1hr total) if they are used to finishing 30move games in under 3min.




Still tho, thanks for the suggestion, breh. I may run a poll before the next tournament (maybe January? ) to see if brehs are willing to ramp up game time.
