Official Coli "Magna Carta Holy Grail" Rating Thread

Does exactly as it says on the tin. Thought it'll be interesting to see the coli's own official rating of the album, all members chime in.

3.5. It's a good album. The production was retardedly overrated on here the first couple days it dropped (it's nowhere near that special). I don't see me rocking this album a week from now other than 2 or 3 joints.

I voted 4. I haven't liked a Jay-z album this much since The Black Album.

That's fair enough, IMO, the production is not the best ever like some people are saying but I think it's excellent. After a few listens, one thing I can say for sure is that I won't rate it higher than a 4.5, because to me A.G is a 4.5 album and I don't think this album is better. It's a 4 from me for now, whether i'll rate it higher (4.5) or lower depends on how well it ages.

It's definitely not his best work but it is better than BP3. I voted 4. This is the most aggressive Hov has sounded in a minute. The album sounds a little rushed but I think he intended it to sound like that, imo.

It doesn't surprise me that this album is getting below average ratings from some (there's nikkas on here that think RD & TBP are average ).

20 Years later Jay still can't come up with a good hook...Not that it's the most important element, but still....Expected more from the rhymes ...The flow is gettin tired too...
