I voted mediocre as hell.

Basically the best thing about the album was the production. Gave this motherfukker a couple spins and I'm not all that wowed. Better than BP3 for sure though.

BBC was ass, the only two tracks that I fukks with heavy are Picasso Baby and Oceans. Jay Z himself isn't really sayin' shyt.

I don't see myself really playing this album all that much in the next month, tbh I'm far more impressed with Born Sinner and Summer Nights. Had those two on repeat for a while now.

This album was a 3.5 out of 5 . Solid effort. But Jay was dropping so much jems on bp3 .. especially about all the nyggas who kept coming at him ...

2.5- jay been getting a pass for weak albums forever

90% of the verses are struggle verses. Jigga rambling a bunch shyt in between designer and artist name drops. Jigga has a problem being relating to the common man been that way for a long time.

The beats arent as groundbreaking as people wanted to believe. thats how far timbaland had fell. he made some average beats and cats went crazy. Pharrell beats were weak too.

Jigga is the weakest thing on his own album.Dude ran out of things to say. It sounds like the long lost second disc to Blueprint 3 or watch the throne 2 before kanye laid his verses. The irony of him telling nas to switch up his flow when his been stale for the last 3 albums

A lot of those 4's will become 3's and 2.5's as time goes on. It's the Jay-Z factor that has people overrating it.

The album is a 3/5. C if we're using a letter grade. The production is strong, but overrated, and Jay-Z's lyrical content and subject matter are disappointing combination of shallow, repetitive, and boring. At this point it is clear to me that he doesn't have another truly great album in him. 4 out of 12 isn't bad though, I guess. That's a well over .300 batting average, though I will admit it's hilarious that this is the same man who accused Nas of having 1 hot album every 10 year average. Lol.
