Crimson Desert's Open World Is at Least Twice as Big as Skyrim's, and Larger Than the Red Dead Redemption 2 Map - IGN
Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game set on the continent of Pywel. But how big is the open world, exactly? It’s “absolutely massive,” its developer has said, bigger even than that of Bethesda’s Skyrim and Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2.www.ign.com
If your open world game doesn't feel like a living breathing world, if I can't get lost, I lose interest fast. The best open world games should pull your attention away from the your quests. A world that makes you drop everything you soing and go a different path.. Games like Fallout have did me like that several times.
Otherwise it's comparable to Ubisoft trash. Repetitive fetch quests, clearing posts, etc.![]()
I agree, but they are experienced at making living open worlds with Black Desert. But, Black Desert lacked meaningful PVE, which this game specializes in. The previews say there are tons of bosses and the combat is amazing. I'm cautiously optimistic.Thats impressive, but Bigger map means jack shyt for gameplay.
Let me reiterate like I always do with open world games.
Im following this game, but I have no real money in it. I hope its good, if not.
This is my most anticipated game for 2026.
Looks like they have way more sky islands than Tears of the Kingdom. It’s super obvious they stole a lot of ideas from both Witcher 3, Zelda and Skyrim so I just know this shyt gonna be good.
This is an old trailer but it still has a lot of elements that interviewers have not asked about or previewed.

This right up my alley.Dope concept, but I hope this game has a good story and gameplay. I don't get my hopes up cause I feel like this game all over the place. I'm still going to get it. I'm more excited the Blood of Dawnwalker over this.

story bout to be hot trash. Just a lot of talking nonsense with unrealistic dialogue and situations slowly leading you to the next gameplay concept. Hopefully they let us skip through it
