This is giving me Dragon's Dogma vibes, which is very promising. I just hope they aren't too ambitious cuz some of this shyt looks way over the top.

I need this shyt now.

Day 1.![]()

Why does the color of the protagonist matter? It's their game and their world let them design it the way they want. Is the game fun? That's the only thing that matters at the end of the day. Every game doesn't have to be a think piece about representation. Y'all are too pessimistic and sap the fun and energy out of what it means to be a gamer. That's why these companies don't step out and try new things because people always complaining that's it's not like what's already out there and what they're comfortable with. I've already pre-ordered mine to support them. If it's not your cup of tea just play something else. It's a ton of games coming out in 2026.I honestly believe this is going to get a mixed reaction from fans. Listening to that cac (not sure if his part of the dev team or just been hired to promote in the west) talk just solidified it for me. The description of the game seems to be all over the place. They have named Witcher 3, Skyrim, RDR2, Bayonetta and then he emphasised how this isn’t an RPG and we are stuck with generic looking while male.
He names all those games and then mentions it’s an open world game but with a fixed narrative where your decisions don’t have an impact on the overall story. From everything he said I would say this is more akin to a Shadow of War but on a grander scale what with the mention of sieges and the likes. I don’t know I could be wrong but I am not buying into the hype this might not be the runaway have of 2026 that people think.
Where did I flag the colour of the protagonist as an issue? Expedition 33 was my favourite game last year and second was KCD2. I just think he looks boring and generic him being white is a plus for the weirdos fixated on colour. Like how they (weirdo cacs) might not want to play a black guy others might equally not want to play as a generic white guy.Why does the color of the protagonist matter?
