KC Johnson was on the score this morning while I drove to work and he was even talking about late march

I hope dude comes back in about 5 more weeks or so, but u know he'll be held out til after the all star break. fukking all star game can't come soon enough IMO.

Rehabbing Bulls guard should be ready for full-contact in next two weeks

Derrick Rose hasn't updated his Twitter account since Nov. 27. What Knicks swingman and Oak Park native Iman Shumpert tweeted early Tuesday suffices.

Shumpert, who tore his left ACL on the same April 28 day Rose did, posted that team physicians have cleared him for full contact in practice. Shumpert had his surgery May 2, 10 days earlier than Rose.

Bulls general manager Gar Forman said Monday that clearing Rose for full contact in practice is the next step in his progression. That clearance is expected to come in the near future, especially after coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose has been fine with what he called "predictable contact."

"It's knowing what's coming," Thibodeau said. "He has handled that part great. He has done a little one-on-one. But everyone has to be patient. The next step will be a regular practice, and he hasn't done that yet. Once he does that, you'll know he's getting closer."

Both Forman and Thibodeau said Rose will have to handle full contact in practice for an extended period with no setbacks before he is cleared to play.

"We have to feel good about this," Thibodeau said. "The most important thing is he has to feel really good about it. It's the type of injury where you have to be patient."

Rose's teammates know what's coming.

"It's exciting," Joakim Noah said. "We get to see the progress, knowing he's going to come back. That's a good feeling. But we need to give him as much time as he needs to come back 100 percent."
