The same bulls team that made the playoffs in 05,06 and 07 and had ONE bad season and won the lottery :aicmon:.Rose went to a team wit deng, hinrich, gordon already there and all of them had been to the playoffs 3x already

As a pg paul is better he doesn't choke late game ft's like rose did in the 08 ncaa title game, game 5 of the ecf,vs the knicks last year and the clippers before that that all resulted in LOSSES

Paul assists:11.6,11.0.9.0.9.6,10.7,10.0,8.0

Rose assists:6.0,6.3.7.5 and 8.0

:heh: this comparsion is a joke ya'll got rose on a pedestal when players like westbrook are better

I KNOW u ain't bringing up the NCAA. Wake Forest started as the #1 seed until D. Will and the boys blew them out. Then they went on to lose in the second round. Now you bringing up assist numbers instead of actual accomplishments.

As for those Bulls teams u named, they only made it out the second round once (the year they got Ben Wallace). They were a team of overachievers.

Rose is the reason Deng was an All Star. Lets be serious now.

NO the bulls record was the reason why deng was an all star in 2012 they were the 1 seed.In 08 they were 12 games below .500

07-08 Deng 18 ppg 7 rpg 51%

11-12 Deng 16ppg 7 rpg 45%

Deng had better individual numbers before rose was on the bulls

Dengs ppg, fga's have gradually dropped since rose came to the bulls, that's what happens when you have a shoot 1st pg who jacks 26 shots a game and doesn't make teammates better. Now if deng played wit paul he would be puttin up 20 a game

You don't want me to post boozers numbers from utah to now:merchant:

Deng was like the 3rd scoring option last year and still put up comparable numbers to when he was one of the primary options next to Gordon.

Boozer is done..that has nothing to do with Rose.

Though news of Derrick Rose’s progress may come at a slow drip, by now enough has drizzled out of the Berto Center to indicate his return to Bulls practice could be near.

After Thursday’s session, coach Tom Thibodeau revealed that Rose had participated in the non-contact portion of practice. Previously he had only participated in what Thibodeau deemed ‘‘pre-practice’’ activity and individual shooting drills afterward.

Thibodeau cautioned that Rose is still rehabbing from surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament last May. But it appears his reintegration is in full effect.

‘‘It’s great to see him out here,’’ fellow guard Nate Robinson said. ‘‘Today he did little shooting drills with us and stuff like that. For him to get closer and closer, for the Bulls fans, it’s definitely a relief.

‘‘Every single day he comes in here way early and he leaves late. So he’s pushing himself, and it’s good to see.’’

Rose interrupted his post-practice free-throw shooting to have a three-minute conversation with Thibodeau before Thibodeau addressed reporters.

Thibodeau said Rose felt good but will not travel with the team for back-to-back games in New York and Atlanta beginning Friday at Madison Square Garden.

If Rose travels with the team, that could be an indication his return is near, as he’ll likely travel so he can practice fully.

‘‘The thing is he still has a lot that he has to do in terms of his rehab,’’ Thibodeau said. ‘‘So once he gets that cleared up a little bit more, then he may travel more with us. It depends on what’s best for him and what’s best for our team. So we just have to be patient. He’s doing fine.’’

Despite Thursday’s milestone, Thibodeau wouldn’t indicate any target date for Rose to return to the lineup.

Some clarity could help the team as it assesses its roster over the next few weeks. Robinson signed a contract this offseason that doesn’t become guaranteed until Jan. 10. The Bulls could save money by releasing him before that date, but much of that could weigh heavily on when Rose is set to return to the lineup.

Veteran Kirk Hinrich and rookie Marquis Teague have contracts that extend beyond this season. If the Bulls retained Robinson, the roster would include four players who primarily play point guard when Rose returns.

‘‘Right now I’m here doing everything they ask, and hopefully that’s good enough,’’ Robinson said. ‘‘If not, then I’ve got to work harder.

‘‘Life’s not guaranteed. Look at all the tragedy that’s happening in the world now. But for me, just live day to day. Like I said, if it comes and I get the guaranteed contract, I’ll be happy, and if not, I’ll keep pushing. I’m not going to drop my head or nothing.’’

With the way Marco has played there's a good chance their gonna trade :rip: to get under the luxury tax. I doubt the Nate stuff is true, but if they do get rid of him that means Teague gonna get some more minutes and that may not be a bad thing. :ehh:

Until he's cleared for full contact practices that news is irrelevant

Watch this lame ass front office cut nate to save 470 k from a 3.2 luxury tax tab

Typical reinsdorf frugal shyt.It would make no sense to get rid of the most productive pg on the roster to promote teague who aint ready yet and keep washed kirk when rose his comin back from an acl injury

:pachaha: Of course you do it just means Im makin you nikkas mad as fukk wit facts

Emotional ass nikkas can't do shyt without that corny rep "system" but get sonned wit facts and try to keep capin for rose

Facts are Rose's career average is less than 18fga per game, but we can keep using "facts" and talk about him shooting anywhere from 22-28 times a game.

Paul is at 13.9 a game. Last year with better offensive options in Blake his fga increased from 12 to 15.

So I'm sure that extra 3 shots a game, especially when Rose is the better scorer and had coaches, fans and teammates asking him to shoot more, makes Rose  as a player.

And Deng shot 14.2 times a game in 07-08, the year before Rose came. Shot 14.1 times a game in 10-11, Rose's last full year. Shooting 15.5 times a game this year. So he's getting the same number of shots with Rose. But we can keep going with "facts" and talk about how his attempts per game is dropping with Rose, even if we add a big man like Boozer who becomes the 2nd option and another guy last year in :rip: who gets his points in a similar fashion and he still shoots the same number of times a game. :beli:

And the Deng stats you posted were from 06-07. Deng hasn't shot anywhere near 51% before or after that. He didn't even shoot 48% at Duke. But we can keep blaming Rose for Deng shooting 46% which is his career average. :kobe:

And let's blame Rose for Boozer getting older, not being anywhere as athletic as he was with Utah. His bum ass averaged 14 on 42% last playoffs with Rose out including 1-11 in the final game, but we can keep going with "facts" and blame Rose for Boozer being a fukking bum that shows up against shytty teams and not being able to finish. :rudy:

Never mind that Rose, in Tom Thibodeau's words, "has to go through regular practice for an extended amount of time before we even think about him playing." In other words, late February or early March remains the best guestimate for his return from left knee surgery.

According to several people who have witnessed his workouts or non-contact participation in practice, Rose remains prodigiously skilled, strong and fast. And he's not at 100 percent medically yet. Of course he will be once he is cleared to play.

"I can't wait to get back on the court to see what I'm going to do," Rose said then. "I don't know how I'm going to play. I don't know what's going to be new about my game. It's just going to be exciting for everybody to see."

Then Rose paused and flashed that quiet, steely, unassuming confidence

"I'm going to be a better player," he said. "My legs have never been this strong. My upper body has never been this strong. My core has never been this strong. I'm going to see where it takes me."
