I just realized that Lily/Sonoya is Kyoko on Ex-Machina...

And that she was also in Annihilation :mindblown:

Edit:

Anyway, I loved the episode. Wasn’t expecting that twist though... I refuse to talk about it without spoiler tags
Both of those films were directed by Garland so that explains it

im confused tbh?

from my understanding (and reading on other blogs: After perfecting Devs (by using Lyndons many worlds formula, which from my understanding is simulating the universe using all possible "algorithms" so to speak instead of just one like Forest wanted to) Stewart and the other developers peeked in the future. Upon peeking 1 second in the future and their own actions mimicking the sim, they realize they too must be inside of a sim since they figured out how to simulate a perfect replica of the existing Universe.

And Lyndon stands on the railing since he bought into the theory that the only universe where he gets rehired to Devs is one where he doesnt fall off the ledge, correct? Only problem is, Katie didnt tell him that there is no universe where Lyndon does not fall.

The simulation theory makes sense as to why everything ends on this night. Why the box can't predict any further and why at the beginning of the episode they saw the world go dark when they were looking into the future.

It would also explain why Forest is so sad standing in the tunnel. He understands what's going on now. Lily is supposed to destroy the machine and that will end their "lives."

I don't have the kind of faith that Lyndon has :dead:

I figured Kenton would be the trigger that led to Lily winding up at the Devs facility :wow:

Forrest finding Jurassic Park better than the real thing :skip:
