Official Diablo 3 thread

Must say game is much better than I expected. Not as good as d2 but still good. Only complaint is I wish I could manage my stat points. Currently playing as a demon hunter and was about to start a new character til I got to nightmare and realized how good the demon hunter is. Smoke screen has to be the best skill in the game.

I've been using Caltrops + Torturous Ground Rune and a Sentry with Spitfire Rune. Run around grabbing as many mobs as I think I can handle, set the trap, set-up the Sentry, spam Rapid Fire and Multi Shot. If I get stuck in a corner, I just Vault/Strafe through the crowd and start it again.

Also, I cannot find anything that has Discipline or Hate leech. I got a couple items that regen Hate/Discipline, but I want it on Hit. That way, I can spam my abilities non-stop like I used to on my Bowazon.

I was using a similar setup until I got to nightmare and the party I was in kept getting wiped by some spiders. After all of us died 5 times, I had to change things up. Right now I run smoke screen with the speed boost rune and preparation with the healing rune. Smoke screen is basically vital on demonhunters especially when there's an enemy with vortex or teleport.

this is my first diablo so im a little lost what to do with the items I collect..

Im a Demon Hunter lvl 11 right now, ive been selling alot of the useless stuff I cant use like swords, gloves etc

What items should I be holding on to? and I dont know how to forge weapons.. It says I need subtle essence, but i have yet to see it... Does it come later in the game?


Any advice would be great

the stuff your class cant use should have a red x going through it.

you will get subtle essence from salvaging magic items.

we probably should have our screen names listed somewhere...

and if this game is still like D2, a bow user should get items that buff up the dexterity

I went 57-59 with it tonight got over 300k gold, with little use of the auction house, woulda easily got 60 tonight and 500k if I was playing forreal I was watching movies and tv the entire time

My advice would be to get some decent gear from the AH(if you search you can find some good deals) and upgrade your jeweler. The blacksmith can craft you decent gear but the amount of money its going to cost you to get to that point would be better spent at the AH. Try to get gear that ups your dexterity, attack speed, and vitality. A socket or two would be nice but you can get by without them for now.

Did I fukk up? I'm on level 16 and been giving my gold to the blacksmith and don't even know who the jeweler is,

Is it too late in the game to start investing in the jeweler or should I continue leveling up the blacksmith?
