for every unarmed black man being killed a random cac cop around the country needs to get dropped.

But we really need to get our act together then get the fukk outta this country.
And go where? If you're gonna say Africa, name a specific country

Let's discuss practical steps that we can take as a community. I'm tired of sitting back, tweeting, posting and complaining. Let's figure out what we as a community can and should do. There are 12,000+ of us in this community. Even if we got 10% of people to commit, we can still do something.

All ideas are welcome. Collect signatures, register voters, donate money, volunteer our time?

What's the next best step?

I'll say what I've been saying since we was back in the bondage of :hamster:

Every black person needs to join an organization who's goal is the liberation of black people. I was listening to some Kwame Ture speeches and he kept reiterating that point over and over and over again.

So if you want to be involved in change, join an organization and take on a leadership position. There's tons of them out there, so find one that's serious and get to work ASAP.

I'm a member of the ATL branch of the UNIA, and I'm about to join the ATL branch of the 100 black men of Atlanta (going to a function today matter fact).

supporting black businesses is a good step, but we have to equally educate our families as well. Sharing is caring. All I can really say is constant vigilance (mad eye moody voice lmao) but forreal. Build up with the real nikkaz around you. I agree w/ anyone who says we ought to move to another country too. I hear they love us in Saudi Arabia:sas2: maybe I've said too much:youngsabo:

Establish network of RELIABLE black businesses via the web
Buy pistol, rifle, shotgun and practice using them
Train boxing/mma for physical conditioning
Use talents to market skills to black people for network.

Talk more privately.

Id say knowing who to buy from, being fit and being legally armed is paramount to the first phase of being less dependent on white racists.

Norfeast groovin…
Aside from joining legitimate organizations. I'd say supporting Black Businesses is one, being a licensed and trained gun holder, and one thing I'd say is if you have an idea on how to change things then write it down and share it. Truthfully speaking, all our answers have been left behind by the past generations. The problem with us is absorbing and applying that information to our benefit. As a child of African immigrants, I've always felt it's important to relate the AA struggle here to the wider Black Struggle across the world.

One idea I have is something I shared with @Poitier called "repatriation settlements". It's an idea that I take after the resettlement of Rastas in Shashamane Ethiopia. It's been a success for the most part and this community from the Caribbean has assimilated and live in peace with the indigenous pop while still keeping their unique island ways. I think this can be replicated in other favorable places. The difference is that bit of land in Shashamane was a gift to the Rastas from Haile Selassie. In my idea, we'd have to lobby and pester the govt of whatever country we pick to convince them of the gains to be had. Right at this moment, even a semi-mass exodus to Africa is unrealistic imo. However, starting with a trickle of people that honestly want to be involved something great could be built. I think of these "repatriation settlements" as safe spots for Diasporan Africans in the event something bad happens to actually force a move plus they can also provide an atmosphere for some reverse seasoning to take place.

:dwillhuh: Dawg....I'm just...man wtf. @Robbie3000 so is it confirmed this dude had a knife, but even still they could've shot to disarm...not to kill

I mean come on

BviUHFACMAArepP.jpg

Dude was 8 ft. away, not 3, with his arms to the side, not in an overhead motion with the knife like they said
I usually :cape: In these situations but him having a knife gives them Carte Blanche

For anybody wondering why they shot so many times the general rule is "shoot to kill"
If they shoot once they will ALWAYS shoot until the suspect stops moving.
Shooting has never been and will never be a means of non-lethal subjugation so if you don't want to die then never force someone to fire that first shot.
Swallow your pride for 2 seconds. Listen to what they tell you and just do it. If you're innocent then they will let you go in 2 minutes.
Call it unfair or overkill if you want but this all could have been easily avoided if the guy hadn't tried to be tough by threatening two people pointing guns at his chest.

I thought the same, but they said he was 3 ft. away coming at them with it above his head. I just feel like they could have had a clear shot at his legs. @the cac mamba the police said dude was running at them from 3 ft. away. He was on a freaking platform, they could've given him a flesh wound.
