Pat Shurmur is a top pick for the Cards coaching job. He might bring Case Keemun with him while we groom a qb for the future.

@Cadillac @MooseMouthMthafuga @L@CaT @thewiz703 @AlphaOne thoughts?

If Marvin is to blame for Dalton starting, he should be fired. But again I'm not sure that's the case. This season the Giants' ownership overruled their coach when he elected to bench Eli Manning, who led his team to the #2 pick throwing off his back foot, fumbling away the ball, missing wide open throws from clean pockets, etc. Marvin may not be able to bench Dalton. Bengals should fire him if he believed in Dalton, but we don't know if that's the case. Ross is only a rookie, and sometimes rookie receivers don't play. That doesn't mean the coach should be fired.
You are saying all this shyt and you don't even know what you're talking about dude. We don't know if that's the case? It is the case. You don't know this franchise and how it operates. Maybe take it from the people who have seen how it operates daily.

Marvin has more say with this franchise than anybody except Mike Brown. The personnel decisions are his to make. He stands behind an inept coaching staff and refuses to play players who outperform starting vets. He NEVER criticises Dalton's play. He handles him with kid gloves and he has since we drafted him. I have HATED Dalton in the past. Now I merely tolerate him because I know he's about 30 and we'll have to draft a replacement eventually. Our offensive line is fukking horrible. You continuing to put this blame strictly on Dalton means you're looking strictly at stats and not at the games. And even then Dalton's stats aren't terrible.

We let our 2 best offensive linemen go this offseason. Our first round pick from a year ago, Cedric Ogbuehi, was horrible his rookie season. TERRIBLE. We let Whitworth go and now Andy's blindside is being watched by a guy who couldn't even handle RT. He didn't get replaced in the starting line up UNTIL AFTER WE WERE OUT OF CONTENTION. Years and years of dumb shyt like that. Years and years of coming out of the half unable to put up any more points after going for 24 in the first half then losing something like 27-24. Years and years of playoff MELTDOWNS and being out coached by less experienced or shytty coaches. Letting young players ROT on the bench for shytty established veterans. Marvin Lewis is 100% at fukking fault here nikka.

Ross should be judged after 2-3 years not his rookie year, regardless of whether he played. Even if Ross played you still wouldn't win the Superbowl because Dalton isn't good enough. So what does it even matter in the end? Until you get rid of Dalton, you're stuck. One of the reasons I think the Bengals still have Dalton is because even more reasoned fans like you are attached to Dalton. He's basically your brother and more delusional Bengals' fans' father. Stafford gets even worse homer treatment.
....bruh Marvin benched Ross after a fumble and never played him the rest of the year. Just healthy scratched him. They neglected getting o line help in the draft to draft this kid in the top 10, then Marvin activates his petty powers given to him by Mike Brown and doesn't play the kid all year although we need him. Dalton has no goddamn line and his personnel isn't being managed properly. We had to get rid of our offensive coordinator 3 games into the season cause he was a shyt head and the replacement isn't exactly great.

Calling Dalton our main issue is stupid. The main issue is coaching then our offensive line. Dalton is serviceable for the time being if we fix the fukking line and get someone to change the energy of the franchise. There is no goddamn reason to cape for Marvin Lewis.

I'll concede on Ross. But Dalton's line is fine. I've seen him look terrible in the playoffs when pressured with Whitworth at LT. He simply doesn't handle pressure well enough and never has. Dalton's scouting report says this. The lack of ability is not Marvin or coaching's fault. Playoff teams generally tend to have good to great defenses (hence why they're playoff teams), so Dalton is going to get pressured and fail regardless of what yall do to improve the line. If Dalton needs the Wall of Berlin to protect him, yall are wasting your time because he cannot play. It's that simple.
