Dude's a moron. People grew tired of her dilly dallying half a world away. They wanted her to get to Westeros already. Now he's trying to spin that as people hating her arc. That's complete and utter bullshyt. A very large contingent was/is invested in seeing her reclaim her family's throne. It's been 8 seasons in the making yet this idiot thinks it was dropped when Brienne killed Stannis in the snow outside of Winterfell....off screen.

I post in this thread midweek to pass time in anticipation for the next episode, but I don’t see myself posting more than a couple days after the finale. These nikkas have gone full retard.

but most would say they dropped the ball.. whole last seasons were questionable.. Last episode of the wire was better than sopranos... but last season of sopranos was better.... But both was a chore to watch, which wasn't a thing during previous seasons....

Breaking bad wasn't a fall off in sight... hit a time jump, a past jump, didn't matter... killed off the best villian, best cop, major characters..... didn't matter... they never fell off... last ep, all on the line, please don't fukk this up..... and they executed it PERFECT..


I'm not sure I EVER hear people talk down BB or it's ending or final season... And I can't name another show who can say the same (although I know I'm missing some)

Only beef I've got with BB was how insufferable Jesse's character became.

Here’s what I think about the throne vs zombies debate...


I never cared that much about the zombie aspect of the show in the early seasons..... yeah it was intriguing and I wanted to know what was behind the white walkers but what really drew me to the show was the throne politics....

However, after season 3 or 4, when the two show runners ran out of book material, there was a severe decline In the quality of the political aspect of the show... and the dialogue... and the element of chaos and unpredictability of who would take the throne also got lost along the way as it is now clear that the writers have a do not kill list.... couple this with the fact that the show has basically killed or sidelined the two most intelligent political characters in little finger and Varys, that by itself is very telling, the throne aspect of the show is not the same....

So while I do not care that much about the white walkers I can see why people are frustrated with how quickly that storyline ended when it’s become more interesting than the throne... does anyone really think the writers would do something like kill off Dany or keep Cersei alive? Maybe they will but I doubt it... the bts from the last episode was very telling... lyanna Mormons was only supposed to be in one scene and they kept her on for fan service... it seems like very little thought went into Arya being the one who killed the NK

I hope this show redeems itself in the end but I doubt it. It’s a shame, but we’ll always have those first few seasons

I just did. everyone is pretty sure about the main conclusion now. Nobody is thinking Cersei is gonna win. Ain’t no night king wild card. Jon or Danny will sit on that throne.


The difference being, we never knew before. We had different sides/houses. People was dropping out of nowhere. Houses and people flipping sides. The dead wildcard.


That shyt is over now. We got 3 eps and who the hell else gonna rule? Queen Sansa. Queen Arya. Cersei gonna win. King Euron.

It’s gonna play out like a normal story. Like a parody movie, it’s time to hit the conventional story part. And if you say pick one, it’ll be Jon. And surprisingly Danny will die for him

Remember when we were losers when we were criticizing the basic plot and non existant realism? After season 7 they said "This is a show with zombies, dragons and Magic? And you worried about realism, like a raven flying 140 mph?" -an actual quote from one of the executive producers

Now it's like "This show is called game of THRONES. The White Walkers were never a threat. It was all about politics and human characters at the end of the day"

how can #targset + #starkset be taken seriously as leadership candidates for westeros when they showed military retardedness during the last ep.

brb preparing for the "great war"/"long night" by:

-only making 1 trench, and even that was so small that the zombies crossed by just a few of them piling on it
-no castle defence
-having those catapults in front of the trench

-the most retarded move was sending their cavalry (who were probably a third of their forces) to instant death, when the correct move was bombarding the dead from a distance with the catapults and using the dothraki to surround the dead army (when they flanked the dead army, this could have got the NK's attention and got him on the field for #targset to attack).

it was such a disaster that ramsey bolton would have probably done better with just the forces he had in the BoB. it's like their plan was to let everyone die.

It's like if Black Widow sniped Thanos right before he grabbed the fifth stone in Infinity War and the Endgame was them going at that blue bytch. You completely ignored the question

I get that the opening scene had a White Walker. I get that some are disappointed that winter only came to Winterfell. But if you don't care about the Throne, I don't get how you enjoyed this show for the first 3-5 seasons. The Walkers barely got screentime. I refuse to believe people clung to a tagline and the Night Watch storylines alone to keep them interested in the show.

You asked a question but then wrote a paragraph expounding on your perspective. I’m simply responding to that. The NK and his cronies became more prominent in later seasons. The show was heading into a genius territory where despite all of this buildup to the throne, there was a larger more important threat.

I’m cool if the show didn’t go further in that direction but they really missed an opportunity imo.

Now, to answer your question I fell in love with the show at the end of episode 1. But a lot has happened since then and the most interesting storyline (recently) was Bran’s ultimate purpose and what the night king had to do with it. Hence all the theories. Obviously all the politics are interesting but a lot of the masterminds have been neutered (Tyrion, Varys) or are dead (Littlefinger, Olenna, etc etc). So I’m not really sure how the defeat of Cersei is going to match previous seasons throne shenanigans in terms of intrigue.
