As sketchy as The Wire S5 could be at times, I thought the ending was perfect. Sopranos ending was foreshadowed all throughout the series, Chase did wonders with it.
but most would say they dropped the ball.. whole last seasons were questionable.. Last episode of the wire was better than sopranos... but last season of sopranos was better.... But both was a chore to watch, which wasn't a thing during previous seasons....

Breaking bad wasn't a fall off in sight... hit a time jump, a past jump, didn't matter... killed off the best villian, best cop, major characters..... didn't matter... they never fell off... last ep, all on the line, please don't fukk this up..... and they executed it PERFECT..

I'm not sure I EVER hear people talk down BB or it's ending or final season... And I can't name another show who can say the same (although I know I'm missing some)

I agree that S5 of The Wire felt like a chore at times but was still better than 80% of television at that time. I would agree with you with S6 Part 1 of The Sopranos with the whole Tito storyline. S6 Part 2 though? shyt was engaging in every episode. Tony Soprano was like top level heel that season. :wow:

The show started off with zombies (I remember being confused when I started watching). Also the tag line has been “winter is coming” forever. Do you see why this is confusing?

And this is coming from someone who enjoys the political stuff as well.

You completely ignored the question :snoop:

I get that the opening scene had a White Walker. I get that some are disappointed that winter only came to Winterfell. But if you don't care about the Throne, I don't get how you enjoyed this show for the first 3-5 seasons. The Walkers barely got screentime. I refuse to believe people clung to a tagline and the Night Watch storylines alone to keep them interested in the show.

Nobody cares because this is turning into the classic predictable story... Now maybe they got a haymaker in there for the throne... But we pretty much know it's either Jon or Danny right? Nobody believes they'll let Cersei win? Nobody believes someone other than those two are taking the throne right?

So for most people, we already have our minds made up... I called it two weeks ago... battle, end of NK in ep 3... ep 4 is the aftermath/planning... ep 5. is another battle... ep 6... aftermath/conclusion

Nobody wants to watch a show like THIS, end up with everyone guessing the predictable ending, 2 seasons ago.. That's why you get all these retarded theories... Cause people just BEGGING for that left field, game of thrones death, that has the whole world on edge..

And no... This wasn't it. Ayra was the shock, but most people knew they wasnt about to have two snow battles... NK death was known before the season started.. That's not thrones style

Too predictable huh, predict the ending. :jbhmm:

:mindblown: The fukk? nikka the only thing Cersei gave a fukk about from the jump was protecting her kids, she didn't become a villain until recently. bytch should've seppuku'd herself when the last one did if we keeping it a buck. You nikkas need to stop this revisionist history shyt. The underlying theme throughout the whole damn show has been The throne is irrelevant compared to the impending threat of the dead. They pushed that Winter is Coming, Azor Ahai Lord of Light bullshyt for damn near a decade and then completely shyt on it in the corniest most anticlimactic way imaginable. It's like if Black Widow sniped Thanos right before he grabbed the fifth stone in Infinity War and the Endgame was them going at that blue bytch. I can't believe nikkas are really in here trying to cape for this shyt

:russ:

The amount of history rewriting y'all doing just so you can whine about how things have turned out knows no bounds. I'm just gonna get out y'all way and let y'all cry. :hubie:

Question for the populace: when did y'all fall in love with the show and why?

I ask cuz I'm seeing all these "idc about Cersei/the iron throne" posts. I fell in love with the show mid-season 1, and it was primarily due to the treachery surrounding King's Landing. The White Walkers were an afterthought at that point. The iron throne being the end game for the show called Game of Thrones makes perfect sense to me. The Night King may have been the bigger threat to the realm, but the throne is the bigger piece to this story.

I remember watching the first couple of episodes but with a slight Lack of Interest because there was so many Characters and Storylines that I got confused.... But when I was playing Skyrim on PS3 heavily, I decided to get into GoT and really pay attention to it and I watched 3 Seasons of it and got very Hooked so things like The Red Wedding/Ned's Death/Melisandre etc made sense to me, and I was watching Live ever since

I still love the show, still get hyped for Sundays, will still miss it when it's over, and I still think it's overall one of the greatest TV shows ever..

But they dropped the ball on the night king and the writing has gotten terrible since they ran out of source material.

I don't get why so many people are upset at that opinion.

Hope GOT doesn’t fumble the ending like LOST did. People may kill themselves
This is what I'm worried about.
3 episodes left, I can't see how they can tie up the entire story and give us the details on the white walkers without leaving stuff out, or just rushing through everything.
That's been my complaint about this series for the last few seasons. The pace of the story telling sped up like crazy, which is not always a bad thing, but a lot of times, the show has been feeling rushed to me (strictly in terms of story telling/development).

:gucci: They set her up as a villain from day one.
They set the tone for her being a vengeful piece of crap with no honor off rip. There are tons of examples.

I don't think the writing has been terrible, but the story does feel rushed to me.
There's definitely an obvious shift in pace from when they moved passed the books.

I just did. everyone is pretty sure about the main conclusion now. Nobody is thinking Cersei is gonna win. Ain’t no night king wild card. Jon or Danny will sit on that throne.

The difference being, we never knew before. We had different sides/houses. People was dropping out of nowhere. Houses and people flipping sides. The dead wildcard.

That shyt is over now. We got 3 eps and who the hell else gonna rule? Queen Sansa. Queen Arya. Cersei gonna win. King Euron.

It’s gonna play out like a normal story. Like a parody movie, it’s time to hit the conventional story part. And if you say pick one, it’ll be Jon. And surprisingly Danny will die for him

It's "A song of Fire and Ice", it was coming down to Dany and Jon (or at least Targ and Stark) was predictable from jump. :comeon:

If that's all you can predict, it really ain't that predictable:stopitslime:
