Thorne & co. killed Jon after Hardhome. They didn’t give a shyt about the dead either.

This needs to be brought up more. If people can actually see the white walkers, survive, know they’re coming, and STILL beef... then I don’t know why posters are surprised at people in Winterfell and Kings Landing being distracted with petty beefs despite the oncoming threat.

She spent the entire episode complaining about shyt Jon knows already, meanwhile Davos and Varys came up with an actual solution. Arya calling her the smartest person she knows was nonsense and out of character.

Al I can say is that Sansa knows better than to trust Cersei which is more than we can say for Tyrion at the moment. I mean seriously, where have all his alleged brains gone?

She smart...but she ain't THAT smart. She's no doubt shrewd... in a politically calculating way that smarter people in her life have taught her. Most of the smart nikkas in the room been killed. Aemon, Olenna, Tywin, Littlefinger, Ramsey, Roose, Catelyn, 3 Eyed Raven, Oberyn, Margaery etc.. She wouldn't have put together most of the pieces she has if it wasn't for Bran putting her on game. She can hold her own with Tyrion who has been a fukk up since he left Kings Landing. I would say he's still smarter. They lead you to believe that she's smarter cuz she knows Cersei is an evil bytch & she figured out the army aint coming to Winterfell and Tyrion didn't. Then the screen pans out to show Professor Bran in the cut and you know how she found out. Same thing with the Littlefinger shyt. We've established Bran is the smartest muthafukka ever. She damn sure ain't smarter than Samwell. She ain't smarter than Varys. Davos might be smarter in some ways and he didn't come from a noble house.

They've had 2 years to develop this final season. If the dialogue from the first episode is a sign of what's to come, this will not go well. A lot of it was pure fan service...not much different than season 7. That scene with Jon and Daenerys going "A Whole New World" on those dragons was a waste of footage and budget, as was most of Arya's scenes. Sansa is suddenly "smart"?? She sent Ned Umber to his death knowing the dead had crossed the wall and would likely hit the Last Hearth first! Could've sent ravens like Jon instructed the Maester to do for the Night's Watch! Daenerys has seen the threat, but is still on that "bend the knee. I'm the Queen" bullsh*t?? 'No dikk' saves his sister from Euron's fleet with no blow-back?? Damn, I hope episode 2 is tighter than this.

Liked the Jaime and Professor B stare down and Sam Tarly's emotion after hearing his Dad and Brother were burned alive was tremendous. Best acting of the episode.

Fan service was Jon & Dany as you mentioned and the elephant discussion in the throne room(for book readers). The Umbers needed horses and wagons, not sure what good a raven would be in that situation. Euron wasn't shown after Yara was rescued so we don't know what the aftermath will be yet.

This. I hate what they've done to Tyrion since he left KL. He's no longer the smartest person in the room or, seemingly among the smartest. The deal with the slavers backfired and had Grey Worm & Missendei hating him. It would have cost them their lives had Dany not shown up. He was a complete failure in season 7 with all the advice he gave Dany and now he's been tricked even by Cersei, and we know he's clearly smarter than her. He should have know how to work that room better Winterfell. He mentioned the Lannister army and was basically booed off the stage. They've reduced him to 3rd grade dikk jokes and Tyrion is so much more than that.

Imagine Jon living that shytty ass life in the Nights Watch, eating stale bread and mush every night, rooming with rapists that make fun of him for being a highborn b*stard that they call Lord Snow, and then being told after renouncing all claims that he is Aegon Targaryian...and can't do nothing about it but stay there and keep the shyt to himself.

Jon wouldn’t have cared at that point. Remember he WANTED to be a Ranger and join uncle Benjen in exploring north of the wall.

Was anybody who was actually at Hardhome involved with murking Jon? That's one big difference from the books. Nobody made it back from Hardhome before Jon died.

The biggest weapon in GOT has always been information, with how and when it's been used. Let's not act that Varys didn't have his Little Birds or Littlefinger didn't have his whores to give them information, that they used over people to achieve goals. So it's all in the game if Sansa getting info from Bran. Sansa lived with Cersei, she knows exactly what kind of person Cersei is and the bile she has for the North she didn't need Bran to tell her that.

Samwell is book smart, that's far different to being able to read people and maneuver around politically, especially with already established relationships, which is about playing on a person's ego/fears/weaknesses.

Let's not forget Sansa at the start of this journey wanted to be a down south Queen, knocking out royal children and couldn't wait to be free of the Starks and only thinking about herself, she's done a complete 180.
