I think that dragon ride was the single worst thing in the show's history outside of Season 5 Dorne. It is worse than the dumb moments from Beyond The Wall.

Jon riding a dragon was not supposed to be some hee hee cutie pie shyt......it really should have shook Dany to her core that he was able to do it.

It was the only bad moment of the episode, but it was unforgiveable
On top of that, he was waiting for her permission :pachaha:

Why would it shake her to her core though ? I know fans tried to conjure up theories but there's no show precedent about who can or can't ride a dragon. It's not held on the pedestal a lot of fans tried to put it on.

Bullshyt. It was held on that pedestal when Dany first rode Drogon

Not going to be any apologizing on this one. It was awful.

Also confusing. For seven seasons, marriage is been at the root of all the political shyt in GOT. Yet here we are at the penultimate moment, and during that entire journey to Winterfell no one brought up the fact that if the two royals who are already smashing each other would be married, we avoid all this drama and uncertainty.

I blame lazy writing.

Dany left Daario for this specific reason too at the end of s6. I agree it’s lazy writing.

In the behind the scenes for this ep D&D confirmed that only Targs can ride dragons lmao. Them saying that and still going through with this just detracts from the significance of it.

We, the viewers held it on that pedestal because it was the first time it happened.

I 100% agree that it should've been used on a better/more pivotal moment, but from Daenys stand point she's not under the impression that only certain people can ride them. She's never mentioned that at all so there's nothing to shake her about it.

Please do explain how you think things would have played out if she had told Jon. I already explained that if Ramsey knew the Vale was in the fold he would have never left castle and they had enough provisions to endure a multiyear siege.

It's unlikely that Jon would have heeded Sansa's advice (he explicitly stated she didn't know shyt about war tactics), however even if she was able to convince him to keep the Vale in his back pocket, do you really think that changes anything? Does Jon not go charging in to save Rickon in your version of events?
Rickon lowkey deserved to die..
Son didn’t even TRY to hit Ramsey with a ZigZag :rudy:

She told Jon Ramsay would try to lure him into a trap and not fall for it....Jon proceeds to fall for it.

Jon himself acknowledged how much smarter Sansa's become, yet some of y'all still in denial :francis:

The fact is that Sansa based her entire recruitment of Jon on a LIE. Jon went to Winterfell NOT for winterfell but to SAVE RICKON. It was Jon’s one and only reason for battling Ramsay. SANSA put it in Jon’s head that Rickon, as the last known surviving male stark and their brother, that needed saving. Jon was fully prepared to leave the warrior lifestyle behind and go south. SANSA KNEW from the beginning that Rickon was a goner. She didn’t council Jon on not falling for traps, she PUSHED him into going into battle. And then, on the EVE of the battle she pushed for, she wanna get aggy:gucci: We’ll never get Rickon back:gucci: Don’t fall for traps:gucci: get the fukk outta here

Jon did EXACTLY what he pledged to do, try to save Rickon. He didn’t go to get Winterfell back or become King In The North. Sansa LIED to him every step of the way, and Arya got the nerve to say that Sansa is looking out for family? Jon is the one whose been looking out for family. He tried to save Rickon while Sansa was basically plotting to have Jon slaughtered on the battle field. He named Sansa, even with her treachery, Lady Of Winterfell, while he potentially risked his life to go seek out Dany to get support and dragonglass. Jon been looking out for family and the entire fukking North since his resurrection, even against his own wishes. And this ungrateful bytch is mad cause he brought back the army they needed, the dragonglass they needed, and two grown dragons, because he got some p*ssy? fukk outta here

It simply ASTOUNDS me how Sansa has any supporters or stans on this board. She is literally the most treacherous character in the show not named Little Finger. She turned on her father, she turned on her brother Jon, she turned on Arya once for Joffrey and would have again before Bran hipped her to game. She has literally no W’s that are not tied to her piggy backpacking off the greatness of another character.

I did say Littlefinger lives. He lives through Sansa.

A marriage fixes nothing. The northern houses would still be opposed to bending the knee and Dany would be the one on the throne. Marriage was supposed to be the solution to getting her allies. She did that without it. As far as Aegon and Dany know, they have plenty of time to work towards that. The alliance is already forged. Now it's a case of what Aegon will do with the info he just got about his parents and true status. If he wants the throne, there's gonna be problems. If they got married before he found out about it, there would still be problems unless Dany was willing to merely be his Queen instead of Queen Ruler.
