Eh, I enjoyed all the books to be honest. So long as you like the characters they all are solid to great reads.

in my opinion book 3 is the best out of all books but 4

isnt that bad it just gets a bit slowerplus you gotta get used not to have your favourite characters chapters(tyrion,arya etc.)instead you get different ones and good ones for that matter (Cersei FTW! )

I remember how nikkas would trip over spoilers like crazy on SOHH and was reading the last page like , y'all just gonna let this slide? lol, I was dying when I saw one cat give another dude props for being the only other cat up on the books when a book discussion thread is on the first page of this forum.

well you just wanna watch any important moments to see if its matching your imagination...but other than that it got a bit boring....

They've changed a lot of things around in this season but it all seems to fall to the same result. IMO, no, it doesn't detract from watching the show.
