Someone I have known and liked for over years and years told me they were voting for Larry Elder the other day. I think Newsom can pull this off, but the margins will be thin, or does that sound like me in 2016?

Faulconer, who is a San Diego local, has at least been a mayor, though he is severely lacking in experience, I ran into him last month, he's a decent guy, but shouldn't be governor.

Falconer is 1 of the biggest names on the ballot. If Elder dropped out, Falconer would have a good chance to win.

Pollster Richard Baris of Big Data Poll says he expects Elder to win the black vote just off the strength there aren't any Dems on the ballot (This was Newsom's plan that CA Dems went along with & looks like that might backfire) + Elder being the biggest most recognizable name.
