She probably wanted to feel important. That's the thing that messes up "new money", they just have the money and not the clout that "old money" has. Especially if nobody knows who you are. Everybody knows who Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, etc...are. Nobody knew who Kelly Loeffler was before she became a senator. It's the same thing that eats at Trump. He had the money but couldn't get accepted by the old money crowd so he overcompensated by throwing his name on everything and always looking for attention. It's what he enjoyed most about being president, all the people that shunned him had to now at least give him surface level respect.
