Hot take: Indy could've kept Brissett and named him franchise qb, let him start the last 7 years...

...and the results would've been mostly the same.

Not an endorsement of Brissett, just disappointment with Indy.

Next week going to be a crazy game.

Hilarious how the excuses have conveniently lined up for Steichen/Ballard during this meltdown, while mortgaging the future at that.

Now they can point their fingers towards Buck being out, Jones playing with a fractured fibula, and the CB who they invested two FRPs for going out to a non-contact injury.

Call me crazy…I don’t think things would be that much different if healthy. There are inherent issues that would rear its head through, such as the playcalling and lack of pass rush. Jones can be a good bridge QB, but Indy needs a great one to really be taken serious and he’s not that.

I really wish they would’ve kept him. Letting him go and choosing a carousel of aging, past their prime vets was never going to get us a Super Bowl. Most likely we would’ve been mediocre to bad anyways, so imagine a situation where AR still goes to the Colts but sits for year or two instead.

I don’t mind mortgaging the future to win now but these losses are bad. Jones/Buck injuries are purely bad luck, but the defense should be better. And even then, the defense still got stops and caused a turnover.…we just aren’t making them count on offense.
