Low key, they treating Immortal in this show, like how they used to do Logan in X-Men: TAS. They knew he could handle the punishment, so they jobbed him out more times than not.

I thought the same thing. But even when he was in the hospital he told Mark he still wanted to fight, but he also said he would listen and follow orders.

He's not as naive as we think.
