Watching season 2 of Invincible and the dynamic between her and Mark makes me want to quit the show. I think we've all been in relationships with unreasonable partners, but Amber's behavior stretches any kind of believability and is just straight up bad writing.

It's quite clear the writers want them to break-up, but they didn't need to assassinate her character to do it.

It doesn't. The longer they write these characters the more unbelievable they all become. By the end of the latest season don't like Mark like at all.
