Iranian and Israeli media channels are reporting that the ceasefire between their two nations has begun. But confusion still swirls over the ceasefire’ precise details and timing.
In his initial announcement, US President Donald Trump said a ceasefire would begin around six hours from his first social media message announcing the breakthrough, which placed the timing close to 12a eastern time.
Shortly after 12a eastern time, Israeli and Iranian media began running headlines saying the ceasefire had begun.
Iran’s Press TV, which is run by Iran’s state-run television operation, said: “Ceasefire begins following four waves of Iranian attacks on Israeli-occupied territories”.
The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported one line on its Telegram channel saying a ceasefire had entered its “enforcement stage”.
Israeli news outlets Channel 12 and Ynet also ran headlines saying the ceasefire had come into effect.
Iran’s state media earlier on Tuesday declared a ceasefire had been “imposed on the enemy” but did not give a precise time.
Israel’s government has yet to make any official comment.

Trump says ‘ceasefire is now in effect’
US President Donald Trump has said “the ceasefire is now in effect” in a post on Truth Social.
“Please do not violate it!” he added.
Neither Iran nor Israel have officially confirmed the agreement announced earlier by Trump on ending the conflict that has killed hundreds in Iran and two dozen in Israel.
The US leader had said the ceasefire would be a phased 24-hour process beginning at around 04:00 GMT on Tuesday, with Iran unilaterally halting all operations. Israel would follow suit 12 hours later.
After the ceasefire Israel claims Iran killed 3 Israelis..so what, hasn't Israel been violating cease fires against Palestinians??

Trump’s timeline – The proposed Iran-Israel ceasefire
- Trump sent out a post on his Truth Social platform at around 6pm local time on Monday in Washington DC (22:00 GMT) stating that the ceasefire would begin to take effect “in approximately 6 hours from now”.
- That six-hour period – which expired at 04:00 GMT (7:00am in Israel, 7:30 am in Tehran) – was to allows Iran and Israel to wind down and complete their “final missions”.
- Trump said Iran will start the ceasefire first (04:00 GMT on Tuesday).
- Israel will follow 12 hour later at 7pm local time (16:00 GMT).
- Israel must stick to the ceasefire for 12 hours, after which ceasefire will be considered to be in full effect.
- Trump said this timeline will mark the official end to what he termed the “Twelve Day War” between Israel and Iran.

I think trump realized that the most vocal part of his maga cult were against a new war (Candace, MTG, Bannon, Tucker and the entire podcast bros). The Zionist and the war hawks were pushing for a regime change via ground invasion, I think Netanyahu started this war betting the US would destroy Iran for him.
