. Ukraine held back Russia with American-EU intelligence and weapons supplies restocking them.

Israel nor Iran are doing anything but firing missiles so I wonder whose side will need to be restocked first. Pakistan and China have no problem restocking Irania’s domestic supply.

Trump’s patience is notoriously short and I doubt he wants to be tied to an endless fire fight that threatens his economy.

Once again y'all dudes need to learn history. Once upon a time Iran kidnapped a lot of American citizens and held them. Even after getting the citizens back America didn't attack Iran. We just put sanctions on them. Iran is no joke that is why Israel and the US is terrified of them having nukes.

Russia and China will not enter into direct confrontation with the United States. Russia is struggling with Ukraine so they are definitely not attacking the USA anywhere and they don't have to anyway, because their spy is in the White House. The bigger issue is widespread war in the region.

Plus their terrain has ungodly variance! It is a beautiful country though. I’ve always wanted to visit. The North is a natural barrier. It and the east look just as rugged as East and Northeast Afghanistan. Ain’t nobody trying to hump that shyt, regardless of season. Much better trained fighters than the old Iraqi Army too.

I had friends who had to deal with the Mahdi Army in both battles of Sadr City. Said they were pretty remarkable. Iran also introduced the EFP’s into use in Iraq. I’m glad they disliked the Afghans and they didn’t really make their way into heavy use while I was there.

At least neither side can consider a ground invasion of the other. Better for them both that there are lots of buffer nations in between who ain’t trying to see all that.

Their main advantage is direct US involvement, which will be limited because even Trump (probably) isn't dumb enough to light up Iran. That's a surefire way to get China involved, and Russia to a lesser extent (not that Russia matters, of course). Israel's army is trash and while they can certainly bomb Tehran, clearly Iran can bomb Jerusalem.
