Hamas condemns US strikes on Iran

In a statement, the Palestinian armed group says it condemns “in the strongest terms the brazen aggression of the United States against the territory and sovereignty of Iran”.
“The US aggression against Iran is a dangerous escalation, blind obedience to the occupiers’ agenda, and a clear violation of international law,” Hamas said.
“We declare our solidarity with Iran, its leadership, and its people, and we have full confidence in Iran’s ability to defend its sovereignty,” it said.

“Real concern” of Iranian retaliation, says CNN analyst

From CNN’s Rhea Mogul
President Donald Trump warned that the US could still go after additional targets because there “is a real concern that now the Iranians will retaliate,” an analyst has said.

Iran has said “several times” that if the US “joins this war and attacks their nuclear facilities, they will retaliate against US forces in the region, against US interests, and there are a lot of those,” said CNN political and global affairs analyst Barak Ravid.
“There are US bases in Qatar, in the UAE, in Saudi Arabia, in Bahrain. They are all in the range of Iran’s missiles, and not even the long-range missiles. And the Iranians have thousands of short-range missiles that can reach those US bases. And I think this is now the number-one question: Are the Iranians going to launch this retaliation?” Ravid said.

He added the second question is whether Iran will close the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil shipping route.

“This is another threat they made. And closing the Strait of Hormuz would influence the entire commercial shipping in the Gulf. Much of it is oil and natural gas. This will get energy prices up. This will influence the entire world’s economy,” Ravid said.

Hamas finito. Hesbollah finito. Assad finito. Russia hemmed up. Generals killed. Nuclear scientists killed. Airspace dominated by Israel. 86 year old ayatollah in a bunker somewhere.

What do they got left?
Thing is… it’s never over… again, a new head will pop up. You don’t think a young kid in that environment witnessing what’s happening, will not grow without a goal of payback. How many years has there been instability in the Middle East. We need to stop meddling over there.

Is the Taliban still in charge in Afghanistan?

How did Cuba workout?
Cuba has routine rolling power outages and food shortages because since the Soviet Union they lost their primary backer and are now an irrelevant little island that is only useful for Guantanamo, cigars and its MAGAT diaspora in Florida. If the US wanted to destroy the Cuban government they could do so with as much resistance as they got in Grenada or Haiti. Before then they were protected from US intervention because of Soviet nukes.

The Taliban hid in the Afghan mountains for 20 years until the US got bored. Every country has failed to stay in Afghanistan because it’s a decentralized hellhole of pedophiles and mountain clans. Less US soldiers died in Afghanistan per year then Chicago had murders.

Now you can ask which of these scenarios the leaders in Iran want for themselves and how many rape dungeons they’d have to set up to keep the people from rebelling when their basic needs aren’t being met.

Iran’s Araghchi says US attack will have ‘everlasting consequences’

In his first public remarks after the US strikes, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused Washington of breaching international law.
“The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations,” Araghchi said in a social media post.
“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences. Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior.”
He added that Iran “reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people”.

God bless Iran :wow:

The Iron dome does well for the top of ordinance Israel commonly sees. The ballistic missiles are handled by other mechanisms. Some are naturally going to get through but the strategy is to pin point where it’s coming from and destroy the launchers.

Israel has reduced attacks precisely because either the launchers are destroyed or Iran is running out of missiles. They started the conflict with about 2000. They are at around half to a third of that now.

My advice stop following Hamasfan999 for your war reporting and actually read real sources.

I got here to Okinawa for work a few weeks back. On Wednesday, I saw a plane I’ve never seen before on base. A “spooky” plane. Little did I know…
:merchant:
The ISR world is tiny. We all know each other on different programs. An ex coworker is in Iraq right now. He got there a few weeks back. More than likely they are there to “help” or there to prepare.
:francis:
There’s still a bunch of Americans in Iraq. I would imagine if Iran wanted to retaliate, those would be easy soft targets.
:snoop:
Hard targets are activating terror cells. Lord help us.
:damn:
