Democratic leaders quiet on Trump’s strikes​

As a handful of progressive US lawmakers condemn Trump’s decision to attack Iran, the primary congressional leaders of the Democratic Party have yet to issue statements on the unprovoked US strikes.

Representative Hakeem Jeffries and Senator Chuck Schumer, who lead the Democratic caucus in the House of Representatives and the Senate, respectively, have yet to issue statements on the attacks. Both are outspoken supporters of Israel and have taken a hawkish stance on Iran.

In a statement on Friday, Jeffries said that Iran could not become “nuclear-capable” and that Israel has a “right to defend itself”, but noted that only the US Congress has the right to declare war.

A recent poll found that 65 percent of people who identified with the Democratic Party are opposed to US involvement in Israel’s war against Iran, with just 15 percent in favour.

Thats a mothafukkin fact. Even if MOST of them just turned into shout-downs, it would be a matter of time before someone who had family deported, a person who lost everything in government cuts, a military vet whose lifelines were eliminated, etc find there way to one of these and air it out.

The chance of that happening goes up as time goes on when people, especially Republican voters, find out just how bad America is falling off thanks to Trump and his MAGATs. Let that Big Beautiful Bill pass and a former Medicaid recipient will be on their Day of the Jackal shyt.

Iran has lots and lots and lots of mountains. What you're signing up for isn't a simple bombing campaign; it's Afghanistan with peer military.

You will be fighting an asymmetric war for at least a decade. all the air superiority in the world and did not give a quick victory in Afghanistan.
