Britain’s foreign secretary urged de-escalation in calls with his Israeli and Iranian counterparts on Sunday, he said on social media.
“I’ve spoken today with my counterparts in Iran and Israel to stress the need for de-escalation. I urged a diplomatic, negotiated solution to end this crisis,” David Lammy wrote in a post on X.
“Iran must never have a nuclear weapon. The US has now taken action to alleviate that threat,” Lammy said.
