The Ummah!
Maaaaan I was off the latter part of last week so I avoided all political talk w/my Jewish colleagues.

I come in and first thing one said this morning “ugh, Iran attacked Israel last night”. Said it twice.

I just scrunched up my face and said “yeaaaa….man, this isn’t good. So, so Israel struck Iran first, right?”

“Oh yea they did, but it was because of the development of nuclear weapons...they wanted to stop the development…”

I just said “oh, oh wow”.

Silence.

They really be starting in the middle of the fukking story! As if Iran wouldn’t strike if you hit them first :wtf::wtf:

You think I’m dumb Lmao

They're not dumb. They're evil.

Trump says he expects action soon on Iran-Israel conflict as he calls for a return to the negotiating table

From CNN’s Kevin Liptak
President Donald Trump suggested Monday that he could soon strike a diplomatic agreement with Iran that would end its current conflict with Israel, saying action on such a plan could come as soon as he leaves the G7 summit in Canada.

“I think Iran basically is at the negotiating table where they want to make a deal, and as soon as I leave here, we’re going to be doing something,” Trump said at the summit, where the Middle East conflict has dominated discussions among world leaders.

He did not elaborate on what it was he would be doing after leaving the summit.

Trump, questioned about US involvement in the war, said it was his goal to ensure Iran doesn’t develop a nuclear weapon.

“I want to see no nuclear weapon in Iran, and we’re well on our way to making sure that happens,” he said. Asked if he believed Israel could suppress the nuclear threat posed by Iran without US help, Trump responded: “It’s irrelevant. Something’s going to happen.”

Earlier, Trump said Iran would “like to talk,” but said they should have engaged in serious negotiations before Israel began its most recent strikes.

Divisions emerge at G7 over response to Israel-Iran escalation

Reporting from Banff, Canada, where leaders from the Group of Seven (G7) bloc of nations are meeting, Al Jazeera’s Diplomatic Editor James Bays says divisions are surfacing over how the group should respond to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

“It’s now emerging that there are real differences between these leaders, and it has been reported that [US] President [Donald] Trump does not want to sign a statement on de-escalation,” Bays said.

The G7 is being joined in discussions by the secretaries-general of NATO and the United Nations.

“You have the European countries… they say there should be de-escalation and diplomacy – but they always say Israel has a right to defend itself,” Bays added.

“On the other end, you have Japan, the only non-Western country in the G7, and it strongly condemned Israel’s attack when it first took place on Friday.

“I think for now it seems Iran is not prepared to talk under fire. And it looks like there’s going to be a real problem getting a joint statement from G7 countries.”

Yeah if you’ve been attacked recently worse than you ever have the last 50 years and nobody is in a rush to defend you, it says a lot.

Now if Israel and Iran were countries surrounding more modern resources we’d most likely have joined in already because that is along the lines of “America first”.

UK MPs warn against military involvement in Israel-Iran conflict

MPs in the United Kingdom have urged the government to stay out of the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, warning against any form of military support without parliamentary consent.
Speaking in Parliament, Labour MP Abtisam Mohamed said: “Given that Israel’s claims have been challenged, even by US intelligence assessments, can the foreign secretary assure this House that no UK military support, whether direct or indirect, will be given without the clear and explicit consent of this House, and that this government has learned the hard lessons of Iraq and Libya and will not repeat them?”
In response, Foreign Secretary David Lammy insisted, “Categorically, the UK is not involved in Israel strikes.”
He added that the UK does maintain a “regional role”, with UK military assets based in Cyprus, Bahrain and Qatar.
Labour MP Barry Gardiner also pressed Lammy on whether the UK had sought independent verification of Iran’s nuclear programme from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“The failure to get transparent information from UNSCOM and UNMOVIC caused untold damage 22 years ago,” Gardiner warned, referencing the Iraq war.

US defense secretary says he has ordered "additional capabilities" to Middle East

From CNN’s Haley Britzky
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Monday that he directed “the deployment of additional capabilities” to the Middle East region.

“Protecting US forces is our top priority and these deployments are intended to enhance our defensive posture in the region,” Hegseth said in a post on X.

It’s unclear what the additional capabilities include. CNN reported earlier on Monday that the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, which was planned to rotate into the region and replace the USS Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, was cancelling a scheduled port call and moving to the Middle East “without delay.”

Iran warned Israel to evacuate 2 Israeli television headquarters, Iranian media reports

From CNN's Mohammed Tawfeeq
Iran warned Israel on Monday to evacuate the headquarters of two Israeli television channels, according to Iranian semi-official outlets, shortly after an Iranian state television channel in Tehran was struck by Israel.

Iranian semi-official Fars and Mehr news outlets reported that Iran warned Israelis to evacuate from Channel 12 and Channel 14 and threatened to attack both channels’ headquarters.

The Israeli military confirmed it attacked the studio of Iran’s state television channel IRINN on Monday, saying its air force “conducted a precise strike based on intelligence provided by the Intelligence Directorate, targeting a communication center that was being used for military purposes by the Iranian Armed Forces.”
