I think Trump is posturing as well. This is a way to put pressure for negotiations. I just don’t think it’s scaring Iran at this point, especially if they believe in their compound’s protection.

I’m 80/20 that strikes don’t happen tonight/this weekend.

If it doesn't happened this weekend, then that just gives Iran more time. I don't see that, everyone knows not to trust the US now.

Analysis: B-2 bomber movement could be a show of strength to China as much as Iran

By Mark Stone, US correspondent

Some context on this B-2 movement - which is all caveated by the fact that we really don't quite know what is going on.

They have left their home base in Missouri and are heading west to the Pacific region, not east to the Middle East. They are heading to Guam.

It's possible they could then continue that way round the world and end up in the Middle East / CENTCOM area of operations. The Pentagon has referred all inquiries to the White House.

It's also logical for the US to want to maintain a show of force in the Asia-Pacific region to counter any Chinese assumption that America is distracted.

Remember that Donald Trump has already authorised the redeployment of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group out of the Pacific region last week to bolster military force in the Middle East. The USS Nimitz aircraft carrier and its fleet had been deployed to Asia.

In the context of countering Chinese expansionist desires, vis a vis Taiwan, the Iran crisis presents immediate military logistical challenges for the US given that its military might is in the Middle East.

But it also presents America with longer term strategic challenges - China is watching how America responds in Iran.

The calls for America not to get involved in another foreign war are encouraging for a Chinese leadership with eyes on Taiwan

Foreign Affairs, Andrew P. Miller, Jun. 21, 2025, "America Is on the Verge of Catastrophe in the Middle East"

"Although U.S. officials express confidence that the GBU-57 bomb can break through the 260 to 360 feet of concrete protecting Fordow, this is an untested proposition. According to the U.S. military, the facility is so deeply buried that it will likely require dropping multiple GBU-57 bombs with exacting precision to breach the underground complex. It would be a mistake to bet against the U.S. Air Force, but it would be unwise to discount the possibility that the mission could fail—a contingency the Trump administration would have to be prepared for."

Additionally, those B-2’s won’t have a clean shot because I doubt Iran air defenses are cleaned out. These bases are really deep in Iran territory.

If everyone knows the plan, I highly doubt the U.S Military is going to brute force it. If the entire world is watching they want nearly a 100% chance of success. Every shot they take they want to hit the bullseye, I don’t think current conditions are set up for it.

This isn’t like shock and awe, this is a pass/fail mission with the world watching. Are conditions that clear? I highly doubt Israel has been that thorough in their attacks for the U.S Military and Trump to risk their reputation.

You’d also see a full strike package forming as well: F-22’s, aircraft carriers with F-35’s, etc. would be mobilizing by now for an operation tonight on that kind of scale where they need to accompany in critical payloads. They’re not going to send in 6 B-2’s on their own. There’d be a fleet of F-22’s and F-35’s with them. They’re not going up against a weather balloon.

If it’s going to be tonight then get ready for the biggest air battle in modern history where the enemy knows the strike time and everything?

That’s another reason why I doubt it’s tonight/this weekend. Bannon and these grifters just want people to tune in to their show.

That’s my thesis here.

There is a sense in Gaza that Israel is taking advantage of media focus on Iran-Israel conflict

Reporting from Gaza City, northern Gaza

For the past three hours, the entire Gaza Strip has been in a telecommunications blackout due to the ongoing deliberate attacks on the telecommunications division.

There is also a sense that the Israeli army is taking advantage of the diverted attention away from Gaza to carry out more deadly attacks on Palestinians.

At food distribution centres, there has been a daily routine, a pattern of ongoing deliberate shooting and killing of aid seekers.

There’s also the drone attacks. A recent one in the city of Khan Younis killed three people from the same family.

We were at al-Shifa Hospital to pay a visit for our field cameraman, whose mother was critically injured from yesterday evening’s drone attacks.

The hospital remains in a dire condition, with a minimal level of medical care available due to the acute shortage of medical supplies.

We are talking about a health complex that has been reduced to a single department, an emergency ward serving thousands of people.

He doing it this weekend to give the stock a chance to recovery or determine long term damage by Monday.

He made a deal with Netty about this plan before coming into office. All those countries dikkriding were obviously promised a piece of Iran pie.

The thing is I don’t think they expected Pakistan, China and Russia to be involved. Putin is the X factor

Analysis

Could movement of American B-2 bombers signal a US attack is on the way?

Reporting from Washington DC, US
I’ve been speaking to an expert about the recent movements of US assets, and what they could potentially signal.
As we reported earlier, two B-2 stealth bombers have moved from their base in Missouri. We understand these have refuelled in Hawaii before moving on.

They could go to Guam and base themselves there and that would still put them within reach of Iran by using refuelling planes they’ve brought with them.
Or they could go to the base in Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, which takes them much closer to Iran and would make military and diplomatic sense.

These are the bombers that have the capability of carrying the 30,000-pound bombs, the bunker-buster bomb that would potentially be used to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

So there are a couple of scenarios that this expert has described to me in terms of how this could play out.

One is that they base themselves there in Diego Garcia, which wouldn’t be unusual just to add that little bit of threat. The reason they would pick Diego Garcia is that Arab countries wouldn’t want any attack to be launched from their country because that would drag them into the war.

Alternatively, given that these bombers are travelling with refuelling tankers, there’s also the possibility — albeit a very small one — that this could be the start of the US attack on Iran.

Add to this the fact that Donald Trump has cut short a golfing trip to return to Washington for a National Security Council meeting tonight, and has another planned on Sunday.

It could be that they’ll be reviewing plans and deciding what options they have.

Or it could be, according to the expert I spoke with, that they will be following the attack — because it will take some time for the aircraft to get over Iran.

It’s clear when Trump says he will make a decision on whether to attack Iran within two weeks, that that’s the outer limit of when he will decide.

It could be that the decision’s already been made. Perhaps we might get more clarity after the National Security Council meeting

Settlers attack village near Ramallah: Report

Wafa, citing local sources, is reporting that settlers under the protection of Israeli forces have attacked the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah.
The Palestinian news agency said local residents confronted the settlers to repel the attack and that Israeli forces fired live ammunition and stun grenades at the residents. No injuries were reported.
The occupied West Bank is home to more than 3 million Palestinians who live under Israeli military rule with the Palestinian Authority governing in limited areas.
Israel has so far built more than 100 settlements across the West Bank, which are home to about 500,000 settlers.
Settlers are Israeli citizens living illegally on private Palestinian land in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem.

Iranian flags flown in large pro-Palestinian rally in London

Marchers in a huge pro-Palestinian rally in London waved Iranian flags, as they called urgent aid to be sent to Gaza and for Israel to stop bombing Iran.

Thousands of people took part in the march through central London, which ended with speeches in Whitehall from figures including independent MP Jeremy Corbyn, former leader of the governing Labour party, and pop singer Paloma Faith.

Independent MP Zarah Sultana told the crowd: “This isn’t complicated, it’s not a conflict, it’s not self defence. It is colonisation, it is domination, it is genocide.”

Iranian president says Tehran is "ready for negotiation" but will not halt nuclear activities

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country is ready to “provide guarantees” and “build trust” about the country’s nuclear activities, state news agency IRNA reported, after France’s President Emmanuel Macron expressed concerns in a phone call Saturday.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready for negotiation and dialogue to resolve issues, but any talks or preconditions will only be accepted within the framework of international laws and norms,” Pezeshkian said in a statement Saturday.

Pezeshkian added that Tehran “will never accept reducing nuclear activities to zero,” according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, and warned that Iran’s response “will be even more decisive and forceful” in the face of Israel’s onslaught.

“From the beginning, we have sought to strengthen cooperation with all countries of the world based on mutual trust and respect. However, it was the Zionist regime that disrupted this path from day one,” he said.

Remember: Israel unleashed mass attacks on Iran on June 13 that it says targeted nuclear sites and high-ranking military officers, prompting retaliatory strikes from Tehran. The weeklong fighting has already inflicted a bitter human cost.

Iran has built up its nuclear infrastructure since the 1960s, with some facilities buried underground. It is capable of most stages of uranium production, from mining to enrichment — and has long maintained the program is peaceful, specifically to generate energy for civilian use.
