Just finished this show. Took 3 months...
Wow, what a show. I totally was not watching this when it was on.
I don't see it cracking top 5 series of all times, but top 25? Hmm
The best thing about the show?
The one sista? No.
The Haitian dude there for a few minutes? No. (Though I wonder what they had planned for him, and I have an inkling)
Brother BBQ Gangsta? No.
PAWGS? No.
Rednecks? No.
Country music soundtrack? Hell 2 da Naw.
Shoot Outs? No.
The Social Commentary? No.
The same thing that made Succession great, Newsroom great...
The damn dialogue.
If Shakespeare wrote lines for Hillbillies, this is what it would sound like.
Obviously you've got Boyd Crowder
Him and Raylan got so many quotables. I would say I'm reminded of No Country for Old Men, but Elmore wrote that too.

I was crying from laughing so hard.
Season 5 with Michael Rappaport was prolly the worst one.
Season 6 - all of the characters seem to have gotten sick and tired of one another in unison.
I guess I'll start Primeval at some point.

- Boyd got more obviously evil.
- Raylan got less crafty and dirtier.
- The ASA Vasquez got more power hungry out of nowhere.
- All the other marshalls less competent.
- Mikey, Wynn Duffie's body guard, got balls all of a sudden..
I guess I'll start Primeval at some point.

Raylan and Boyd interactions was top tier stuff
Though Goggins steals it in damn near everything he's in so
I really liked the fact Rayland didnt end up with Winona
Like hed go to Miami, theyd try but it was never going to work.
Also that surprise at the ending with baby Crowder
He soon be spitting those big words at the kids in kindergarden for sure
Raylan admitting despite everything something in him respected at least Boyd.
Best side villian was the crazy dude with his drug addiction and like for torturing those male prostitues.

Quarles and season 3 is top tier. Even season 5 holds up strongly, Michael rapport playing a scumbag cac out for himself is some spot on casting

Just delete Primeval from the record and set up another sequel having Rachel running the field office, with Raylan and Tim partnered together regularly.
