Probably want to give his money to his co-star since her star is rising now.
But really its too late. kate Bishop is not really a big enough character for the level Hailee Steinfeld is going to be at going forward. Should have made her Sue Storm or Jean Grey or some major Marvel character.

Why not just make Kate Bishop a big part of the MCU?

Like they tried to do with Mystique? Forcing a side character into main character status is not a good idea. They don't have any major stories focused on them. All the best movies are based on the best comics. Just a disaster waiting to happen. They will end making trash movies like they did with Captain Marvel who also didn't have any major stories or fandom behind her. They better off bushing this. Otherwise they gonna end having Kate Bishop lead the avengers and making horrible movies as a result.

I liked First Class and Days of Future Past.

They still kept her a villian in those two movies. Its when they tried making her the leader of the x-men that things starting being trash.

What? She was good for like 99% of First Class and what tried to kill the bad guy in the sequel? She wasn't a villain, she tried to kill the villain.
Anyway, you originally stated when they made her a main character that was the downfall and they totally did that in First Class and that's a good movie. I don't think making certain characters/actors more prominent in the MCU then they are in the comics dooms a movie.

JLaw’s Mystique after Days of Future Past was horrible. And because of her stardom after First Class and her other movies. She was less willing to put on the blue makeup and the suits pushed her to be more heroic.
