I’m shocked. I feel like i’ve seen Nick show Nas respect at various points but I can’t pinpoint exactly where. He had Nas do a skit on his Short Circuitz show when Hop Hop Is Dead dropped.

Man I don't get why people upset over that wack ass segment. It's a political answer at this point, and the answer is often gonna be "who can help me more." Which means Jay is gonna be the answer. Or you got guys who have some type of issue with Nas like Large Pro and even AZ. Not saying beef but we all remember Large Pro saying wild shyt at the Kanye album premier lol. And AZ prob feels some type of way about not getting features. Part of me wonders if the Mass Appeal/Legends thing is Nas saying yea I'll give nikkas features if you drop an album on my label lol.
How many threads have we had on SOHH/Coli about shyt like this. Premier said he felt Large Pro should have been on every Nas album as tribute for what he did for his career. But you never hear anyone saying Clark Kent (RIP) should have been on every Jay album. Because these guys know Jay will feel some type of way about that shyt and check them, whereas Nas gonna just say nothing. Then they wonder why they can't get him to answer calls or do features.

But AZ has literally been a guest at a bunch of Nas tours lately. Even his Vegas residency.

But wouldn't you agree there have been multiple periods of time where it seemed like AZ had issues with Nas? Like over the last 20 years.
Kay Slay claimed to have audio of AZ going at Nas back when he was on his DEATH OF ESCOBAR shyt. Mega has said that AZ and Foxy used to call Nas "Mosquito" behind his back because he was draining their spirits for his own gain or whatever.
There's definitely been those periods, when AZ used to have little "tell Nas I'm waiting" comments, Nas has only ever commented on that once and said "well I have like 5 phone numbers for AZ and none of them work" lol.

Yes but that Drink Champs was after AZ won the Grammy with Nas.

True but I'm talking about two decades. Even a couple years ago when AZ dropped his album and allegedly couldn't get a Nas verse. He didn't diss Nas or anything but it was weird that a lot of people came out complaining about it. To the point Nas eventually acknowledged the album on his IG. Like I said...I really think all that "he didn't help promote my album" shyt played a role in this recent Mass Appeal movement. Nobody is obligated to promote your shyt for you unless you got some type of agreement.
That's why I respect the way Beyonce, Kendrick, Cole etc move. They're not promoting shyt unless it's on their own label/imprint. If you do a feature for somebody else, the feature is promo enough. So IF I'm right and Nas is moving in that direction now, I'm glad.
Snoop, Kendrick, Dr.Dre and Eminem don't belong on that list.
It was “King Cobra” that he claimed AZ and Foxy called him.
And I never understood how AZ could ever feel so entitled to Nas when Nas literally GIFTED him a career, multiple features one of which got him his only Grammy nomination, created a group with him that resulted in the highest selling album of his career, etc.
All Nas has ever done is help AZ. AZ ain’t never helped Nas, he couldn’t even be a good friend to him in the movie Belly, and that was pretend lol.
