What did they say?

Stallone character who’s an old out of touch mobster gets stuck in the back of a smart car and he’s trying to get out while it’s on auto drive and the Siri command is not hearing him right. He tells it to stop the car and it’s like want some music and then he’s like “Stop this fukking car! :damn:“ and Siri like “play some Nas :ahh:“ and it starts playing Motion and he gets heated screaming who the fukk is Nas as he tries to shoot the dashboard as it keeps playing the song all the way to his lawyers :pachaha:

Pretty much confirms that any future Lost Tapes installments will be post Sony/Def Jam material, which always made sense as Nas owns the Masters to all of his Mass Appeal catalogue.

Also interesting that he was thinking the Nas/Premier album would be ready for this summer and now its going to be last in the lineup. Really says to me that Premier REALLY wanted to make sure he gave Nas his best effort.

He asked Nas about if any song ideas they talked about in the past came to fruition on this album and Nas said 2 of them did...
New York State of Mind pt3 has to be on this album right lol

Damn I didn’t think about NYSOM Part 3 specifically I was just thinking maybe he was referring to ideas they’d mulled around for concepts and such.

He still sounds inspired, so that's a good thing. The new album with Premo sounds promising from what he said in the interview.

I'm not sure about the Lost Tapes 3 though. He doesn't really sound that enthusiastic about it. Like he doesn't really feel like there's unreleased music that he's confident enough with to release as another Lost Tapes installment. Not sure if there is anyone in his circle he trusts with his music enough to compile another one. The first Lost Tapes was put together by an A&R and turned out to be classic IMO.

I don't know how the relationship of Nas and Joshua "Hip Hop Since 1970" Kyambo, but I think he would be great at putting together a Lost Tapes 3. He was working with Nas on the album that never came out. As an A&R, he has a crazy resume that includes Jay Z's Blueprint and Kanye's albums.

Of course I don't know any of these people, and life is life and shyt's gonna happen etc - but I still fukking hate that Nas and P ended up beefing for a while :mjcry: When I listen to Stillmatic or I hear P's subs at Nas after that I just cringe at it, whereas I'm all :ahh: when they go at other people.

Happy we still got a few collabs and live performances out of Nas/Mobb.

If Nas and Wu-Tang ever end up beefing, I'm quitting HipHop forreal :hubie:

I feel like that beef was just born out of misplaced competition and misunderstandings, it wasn’t a real beef where they ever hated one another. Prodigy always spoke highly of Nas and Nas for his part always showed up for Mobb Deep collabs and at least on wax, embraced P as a soldier of the same struggle. Prodigy just hung out with people that Nas didn’t mess with some of his bars (Thun & Kicko) could have been interpreted as shots at Nas. Prodigy also did himself no favors by putting out that book. He had half of Queensbridge pissed at him for YEARS over that.
